One thing I see a lot is people defining themselves as the opposite of whatever the oppressor believes. If we want to actually break the oppression though, we need to fight to be independent of it. You don't need to be more fem if you don't want to be

A 4 panel meme of two birds talking to each other in a tree. The first says "I want to be a girl, but I don't like feminine things." The other says "your a tom boy". The next panel has the first bird saying "what?" with the second bird saying "being a trans tomboy is valid" The third panel has that first bird sitting there and staring. The final panel has them looking up and saying "what?" again. There is a watermark in the corner that says FalseKnees.com@2017
Being trans is one of the hardest things I have ever done. Early on, I decided that it wasn't worth transitioning because it would take resources away from trying to survive. It did not work. Being too depressed to do anything made survival far harder
alt-text: one panel of a comic with a watermark I cannot read in the corner. The panel contains two people in pajamas. Both have text bubbles, where the first says "so, if it's so stressful why do it?" and the other says "because it's still better than trying to be a boy".
the only requirement to being a women is calling yourself one
An image with 7 different images of women on it. The title says "you don't need to.... to be a women" The first has light brown skin, pants, and a t-shirt sitting down, and has the text "shave" and "like pink" around them. The next says "Be Sensitive" and "have breasts" and has an image with a person with one breast and light skin standing up with their arms over their head. The next is a person with light brown skin laying down on the ground in a pink bra and socks with the text "Have maternal instincts" and "smile all the time". The next is a darker skinned woman walking with a bra and panties with the text "dress a certain way" and "have a high or low sex drive". The next is a white woman laying down in a swimsuit with the text "find a certain gender attractive. The next is a white woman sitting on the ground with hairy legs and a crop top with the text "hold your farts in" and "wear makeup". The last is a tan woman in a skirt and bra with the text "menstruate"
Any other trans girls ever feel like this?
Why do I still look like a man after 4 years of HRT...
Am I reading too much into my ‘straight’ friend’s behavior? M23
ive been friends with this guy for a few months, and somewhere along the way I started developing feelings for him. he identifies as straight, but there have been a lot of little things he’s said and done that make me question whether there could be something more going on.
we talk pretty often, especially on the phone/FaceTime, and we’ve gotten pretty close. The problem is I can’t tell whether some of his behavior is actually suggestive or if I’m just interpreting it that way because I like him.
for example, one time we were on FaceTime and he randomly showed me his bulge while talking about how big it was. It honestly seemed like he was looking for my reaction or wanted me to agree with him. obviously that stood out to me, but at the same time he talks about women regularly and has always said he’s completely straight.
there have been other moments too where his words or behavior feel kind of flirtatious, but nothing is ever direct enough for me to know for sure. It’s gotten to the point where I spend way too much time analyzing everything he says or does, and I feel like the ambiguity is giving him way too much power over my emotions.
do you guys think this sounds like a straight guy who’s just extremely comfortable with a male friend, or does it seem like there could actually be some curiosity/attraction there?

For many trans people your old name (called a dead name) isn't just something you are moving away from, it is something that is absolutely hated. For me, it is tied to a conception of me that was forced on me, that I never shared with anyone around me. I absolutely hated this name before I knew why
