Does anyone know if these were damaged out a long time ago

We have a bunch of these but no spot for them on the floor, were they previously meant to be damaged out by the company? I’m new and my BA’s are all telling me they haven’t seen them on the floor in over a year

Scam

Apparently some district in the Midwest area was involved with over the phone scams. Almost 30k was lost in a day and the SSP was never asked for. We heard it today from our manager and DM. Got drilled on loss prevention stuff today.
I’m wondering, were these associates terminated or would that DM get in trouble for something like that. None of the associates asking for the pass phrase seems incredibly negligent. I have had to ask in the past on a few phone calls but for my newer coworkers, I’m not sure if they’d know to.
Another question, have any of you guys ever been targeted with this? How did you know. DM said that they see to be getting smarter and can easily disguise. This just has me anxious.
Just want to spread the word and help my team out.

STOP USING CHATGPT AND YUKA

STOP USING CHATGPT AND YUKA FOR YOUR CONSULTATIONS OR TO SEE WHAT WORKS FOR YOUR HAIR. Not only are you wasting our time when we’re asking you if you need help, when you’re just going to end up pulling out your phone to ask chatgpt and Yuka. But you’ll never get accurate results. First and foremost, we offer a FREE licensed colorist on demand where you can talk to an ACTUAL PERSON through chat or video call. And Yuka is never accurate, just because it says that a product is good or bad IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT WILL REACT A CERTAIN WAY ON YOUR HAIR. ALL HAIRS ARE DIFFERENT!!!!!

This is your sign to quit 🎉

Nothing crazy, just finally quit the extraordinarily toxic workplace that is Sally beauty! 🎉🎉

Figured if someone else was debating taking the leap, it's time! Lol

After months of continuous harassment, I finally took the final step and quit! Literally haven't been this happy since I started working at this horrible place.

Take this as your sign to quit too! Fuck Sally's 🎉

Need bright green dye suggestions

I’m looking for a bright green dye for my prelightened roots (the rest of my hair is blue). I tried ion color brilliance brights semi permanent in shamrock and am incredibly disappointed. The results are nothing like the bright neon shown on the packaging. What semi permanent green dyes have given you bright neon results?

Dumbest question ever

Asked me “how does the leopard print work” when holding a strawberry leopard bottle. I said “wdym” she said “so how does it make your hair leopard print?” I said “that’s just the brands name”
This was a grown woman.

Am I going crazy???

This is cosmoprof for context but I feel like I'm losing it lol

I just got rehired here after like 9 months doing my own thing, and since I was last here there's been a complete management change. A bunch of stuff is different which is fine but one thing that's driving me crazy is that the doors into the back room are now being left wide open at night??? Is this normal?

District Manager

This company is SOO ridiculous..our district manager is literally sitting on the cameras DAILY calling our sm every time she sees something she doesn’t like because we aren’t meeting our daily goals..mind you they raise the prices every 2 weeks 😭 I literally had three customers return items because they found it CHEAPER at Walmart!!! How is it our fault?? She now doesn’t want us to be in the back room AT ALL or be near/behind the register if a customer isn’t there PERIOD, no checking the iPad, the handheld, doing pogs, clocking in/out literally ANYTHING back there unless there is an active customer at the counter..is that not ridiculous??

Inventory

Hi all! I have a weird question. At my old company when we would have inventory, they would have us count our backroom and write down the SKUs for the company that comes in. Basically saving time by having it all done for them.
I just recently started at CosmoProf, our district manager left right after I got hired in, but he said it’s okay to count the backroom. Our inventory is Friday and I was planning on counting tomorrow. Just wondering does anyone else do this before I take on this task?

Worst online customer service

I absolutely hate Sally’s beauty ONLINE customer service. It’s such a huge contrast to the customer service in the stores where they’re truly always such sweethearts! I’ve dealt with the online customer service a handful of times and each time it’s been consistently a horrible experience. It’s at the point where I don’t even want to shop at Sally’s anymore because of it. I genuinely don’t understand why are they like that– ill informed and ill attitudes! Sorry had to vent!! Thank you for listening lol

Customers are soo.. 😭

Like a good handful of them are cool but i swear a mass majority leave their house to be a problem. Ive been here for years and though im grateful it has help with my social anxiety/confrontation skills, i can feel this job making me evil some days.

Ive gathered so many little pet peeves through the years.
I cant stand when people tell me their numbers without the area code, i hate when a customer asks me where something is and then tries to walk INFRONT of me so we almost smash into eachother every gd time, i hate when customers ask me questions but interrupt me 2/3 into my explanation, when customers want to dye their hair but havent looked up a single reference or tutorial and again interrupt my explanation because theyre so anxious, customers that freak the fuck out over the word “bleach”, customers that insist loreal hicolor will work on their box dyed dark hair, customers that insist on putting products back themselves but you just watch them struggle, customers that hold their product out to me as im trying to log in, doordashers not knowing where the scanner goes when my hand is pointed *right there* , customers that just *stand there* instead of asking you for help, customers that cant just read the instructions on the box or the label to see if the product does what they want it to, the worst customer alive that you want to just fucking leave already but then you hear “oh you guys got perfume?”, sassy straight men,

Im just gonna stop.

Why no more barcode scanner gun?

Earlier this year our store got the new POS system, which resulted in the removal of the scanner gun. I'm so fed up with the scanner attached to the monitor!!! It is so hard to communicate to doordashers where to scan their QR code, and it is just a general pain for regular use. Customers also think I'm trying to hand them products back when I scan them. ;_;

Are there any fixes you guys have thought of? Can I message my DM about getting a gun back??? Tell me I'm not the only one with issues

Boss won't answer, how do I call out sick?

Hello!

I'm relatively new to working at Sally's. A few weeks ago I told my boss that may 16th I cannot work due to an important obligation. The schedule was out, so she said that if I can't come in I can't come in but it'll be 'on me'. That was all.

Now that it's tomorrow I messaged her, while I knew she was still working, about the best way to go about it so I can follow store policy. I've never had to do anything like this at Sally yet so dont know if I should be calling in, doing something on the app, etc

My manager for some reason can message me, but me messaging her she always ignores me and then the next day at work I get scolded really bad. You can see a previous post of mine for that-- I didn't know my schedule once and asked to clarify and she ignored multiple of my messages and told the other workers not to answer me. When I got to work I was scolded so hard, almost yelled at, I almost cried. Since then I've been told to communicate to her by messaging again....even though before she said it's childish for me to text? She also told me to ask our employee groupchat, but I thought this was a her question. I just have no idea what to do.

She didn't answer during her shift and she told me it's interfering with her right to disconnect from work if I text outside of work hours. Does anyone know what I should be doing????. unfortunately I'm in Canada so I don't know if the majority of available info online is accurate.

Any help appreciated, thanks all

edit: I called in saying I couldn't come in. manager was very short with me and when she realized it was me on the phone her tone completely changed to very flat lool and I just knnoow she's gonna sit me down next time I work T_T

What do I do?

I’m starting to feel like maybe my boss hates me? This story is a bit long so let me just take it back a little to set the story up😂. My store used to have a 30 hour person which is basically just like being the assistant general manager, but without the title or the pay increase. Our 30 hr person quit maybe 9 months ago. And our gm said that she wasn’t going to have a 30 hr person anymore that the hrs would just get split up evenly. Anyways, we just hired on a new girl and my gm has asked and offered to work her 30 hrs. This annoyed me bc I’ve talked to my gm about taking more hrs bc she’s been cutting mine back a lot. So I brought up to her that I would most likely have to take on a second job if I couldn’t pick up more hours, she told me that she had the hours to give, but my availability is an issue. Keep in mind. My availability is completely open other than Mondays and Tuesdays. She has consistently given me Sundays off for the past month and a half and scheduled me wed-sat but only like 4 hrs each day. Anyways, I told her that I would completely open up my availability if we could talk about me getting more hours and she said that we could talk about it later on in the week and it never got brought back up.
Fast forward to today, i am talking to the new girl and about how im probably gonna pick up a second job and she tells me “yeah — said that you were looking for one but she said you wouldn’t need one if you worked the one you have” im so confused and upset bc I rarely call out, she has me do ALL of the resets, i do the sales change overs when she doesn’t want to, i restock almost everyday im there, i make sure developers are stocked, and i am literally the only one that checks Athena. Not to mention she’s having me train our 3 new girls on how to close, and basically how to do most other things. I know this is not the only time she’s talked bad about me. A couple months ago I was up for a position in another store to be manager (which I got passed up on ig, I just wasn’t contacted about it again) and she was on the phone telling the employees at a different store that I’m lazy and don’t do anything. Which again just simply isn’t true.

I’m thinking about quitting but I wanted to go to nail school and have this as a part time job eventually. I also really like the job it’s easy and I really love my coworkers. I also worry about putting in a 2 weeks bc the 2 girls to leave before me got bad mouthed the entire 2 weeks before they left.
