Maybe for the first time (in a long time) audiences are starting to wake up!
Looks like Adum isn't the only one who has a beef with JOOOOOOOONNNNNN!

Seems like Brady Corbet (The Brutalist, Vox Lux) is directing the concert film, based on this Instagram story from the band's physical therapist.
Leave your normie masterpiece questions and quibbles for Adum, Alex, Jake and special guest Jérémie Périn (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm5152243/) to answer when we next record; get those questions in before 7pm May 19th (uk)!
This trailer just came out of nowhere for me. I saw NEON, I clicked. And I’m glad I did because there were so many moments that had me thinking “WTF IS THIS?!?!” in the best possible way. I’ve only seen The Wailing (which I liked a lot), but I will be checking out more Na Hong-jin films.
Basically, in the video they show this weird poster for Peter Five Eight. As someone who knows Russian (I am from Belarus), and I know who Garik Kharlamov is, the guy on the right is him and is a famous russian comedian who was part of several sketch shows and acted in a bunch of comedies (a lot of them really really bad).
Essentially this is a dub of the film, and it is essentially intended to be intentionally humorous dub, but the film surprisingly is received better on some Russian language review websites? In general, this is mainly because there’s more support for Kevin Spacey there, and the country does have a history of welcoming people like Gerard Depardieu who have been convicted on a lot of similar crimes. A bunch of other recent Kevin Spacey movies have gotten support there too
Edit: The Dubbed trailer very much leans into the intentional comedy by the Garik’s dub
They can’t make a decent universal monster universe, but we have four these things that go for multiple seasons
recommended if you're into schlocky Paul Verhoeven-esque satrical fantasy gangster creature boxing grindhouse type stuff

never noticed this until deepfocuslens mentioned it in her new redux review. holy shit, it's so incredibly creepy
Laika studios have been beyond underwhelming in the past despite their phenomenal animation but I actually think this looks pretty inspired.
I know I'm a little late, but i didnt watch the movie until last night, and listened to the episode this morning.
Its weird than all 3 of them couldn't pick up onto the fact that there was no love plot, but especially Adam.
Through the whole movie HE acts like he's in love to get on her good side and manipulate, and SHE loves him like a pet, and not romantically, which is why she calls him Sweetie, her birds name. To be a professional movie reviewer for almost 20 years, its strange that Adam couldn't pick up on such obvious writing or the fact that is was all misdirection
Jérémie Périn - director of Mars Express and the Dye Fantasy Music video will be the guest ‼️‼️
