Hi everyone! I wanted to share a leadership opportunity for anyone at the University of Delaware who is passionate about service, public health, or making a real impact in the community.

Hearts for the Homeless International (H4H) is a student-led nonprofit that provides free blood pressure screenings and heart health education to homeless populations across the U.S. and globally. Our team includes undergraduate students, medical students, PhD students, physicians, and other professionals who are committed to improving the well-being of underserved communities.

H4H was originally founded by students at the University of Central Florida and has grown into an international organization with 15+ chapters across the U.S., Brazil, and India. We’re currently looking for motivated student leaders at the University of Delaware who want to start a chapter and serve the growing and often overlooked homeless community.

This is a great opportunity if you’re interested in leadership, medicine, public health, nonprofit work, or community service. We provide guidance, structure, and support — all we ask for is your time, compassion, and willingness to lead.

Our work has been recognized by the U.S. Congress, the Brazilian government, President Clinton, major educational and medical institutions, and organizations such as Forbes. Our students have also led disaster relief efforts for homeless populations during hurricanes and partnered with major companies like Bombas.

If you’re interested in becoming a founding leader and making a difference at the University of Delaware, fill out this interest form:

Where to find Subletter (Advice)

Hi, I am transferring out of UVM and really need someone to take over my lease. I will live there this summer so I have until the end of august to find someone, what are some websites or apps I could use to find a subletter for the academic year? It is a shared residence so I dont really want to post on snapchat and let everyone im living with know im leaving soon. I would rather tell them myself after I have officially committed to a school, still waiting on a few.

Hi everyone,

You are recommended to take part in the 'AI Use in College Learning Survey.' This study will help us learn more about the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in your college learning process and the role that these tools shape your academic experiences.

This research is being conducted with a professor in Ocean County College.

This survey is voluntary; if you decide to take part in this survey, you will be asked to answer eighteen (18) questions (17 multiple-choice questions and one short response question), which will take around 10-15 minutes to complete.

You can find the survey here:

- By clicking this link AI Use in College Learning Survey, to access it directly.

- By copying and pasting this URL https://forms.gle/ZubsCJabNRVLpVhA7.

If you are not currently enrolled in any college or university, then you are not advised to take part in this survey. Nevertheless, you are encouraged to share this survey with an eligible respondent.

Before responding here are some important things to note before attempting the survey.

The questions included will be related to:

  • Your academic background (only includes your age group, academic level, and area of study)
  • Frequency of AI tools used and which tools you use
  • Uses of AI in your academic studies
  • Your opinions about the use of AI tools in learning and academic achievements
  • View about academic integrity and concerns related with the use of AI tools

Please note that:

  • All data you provided will be kept confidential and will not identify you in any way.
  • Only information related to your age, academic level, and your major will be collected.
  • Information including your email, name, gender, where you study, and other sensitive information will not be collected.
  • The software 'Google Forms' will require you to sign in for you to complete the survey; we will not collect your email addresses.
  • You have the option to skip certain questions and leave the survey at any time you want, and there will be no consequences for you if you decide not to answer the questions.
  • You will not be entered into any draws for prizes. There is no financial incentive to complete this survey.

We appreciate your time and cooperation.

Regards,

A student from Ocean County College

built an app to settle the “where should we go tonight” debate — feels made for UVM friend groups

if you go to UVM you know how this goes. it’s 10pm, group chat has 8 people in it, someone says ake’s, someone says rí rá, someone wants to go to nectar’s, someone’s pushing for a house party in the old north end, someone hasn’t responded in 20 minutes, and by the time anyone decides you’ve missed the window and end up at red square by default.

built Rally for this exact problem. you throw in the options, send one link, everyone taps their pick in 30 seconds — no account, no download. you see the votes live and just go where wins. works for bars, where to grab food after class, ski trips to stowe, whatever.

it’s free on the app store — would love to know if it actually clicks for UVM people, the going out scene up there has its own rhythm and I’m curious if this helps or not.

schools like uvm?

i just finished my sophomore year at uvm. i’ve had some pretty hard experiences both years that have led me to take a leave of absence next year. my mom wants me to transfer, but the thing is, i do really like uvm and burlington, and the issues i had have nothing to do with uvm. should i consider transferring, and if so, what are some schools i should consider if i like the vibe of uvm (gay, stoner, etc lol)

Looking for a roommate for a Redstone Lofts four person suite

I'm transferring out of UVM and am looking for a tenant to take my lease for a room in a four person, single-bedroom suite at the UVM Redstone Lofts. It's a completely furnished room overlooking the Patrick Gym and the mountains, and is right on campus and next to a campus bus stop so it's super easy to get to classes. Roommates are super nice/respectful and the common space is kept neat, and there's an ESA dog that lives there too! Dm if interested or want more info!

PLEASE HELP A FRENCH STUDENT OUT

Hello dear Vermont people. I am a French student doing a research project on restaurative justice.

I hoped, taking on this project, that I would find old legislation pieces, drafts, minutes from the debates at the State Senate... So far I have found almost nothing, so I am reaching out to anyone who could have any information about the legislations that codified restaurative Justice. I am looking for the arguments used at that time by the state MPs in favor and against the measures.

If you have or know where to find any information or period document pertaining to :

Act No. 148 (Adj. Sess. 1999),

H.534 restorative justice legislation,

Please PM me. (It could be news articles, actual legislation submitted to the State Senate, anything).

If you know anyone who worked in the Senate at the time, and who would agree to an interview, please give me their contact information. It doesn't have to be MPs, just anyone who was around in 1999 and knew anything about that debate.

Thank you very much in advance !
