Hi korn have you ever considered teaming up with the Whirlpool corporation to advertise their line of home appliances such as dryers?

Picture this, Jonathan Davis comes home from tour and he pleasantly hears his kids in the backyard splish splashing around the swimming pool. He’s got a smile on his face until he sees the all the wet towels in the laundry hamper piling up. He smirks and we cut to the music video performance set up.

Korn starts to perform “dead bodies everywhere” to the audience of Jonathan Davis kids wearing swimsuits and googles (I assume he has 30-40 similar aged children) except the lyric has been changed to “wet towels everywhere”. This drives home Whirlpools commitment to make sure moms and dads everywhere have the appliance relationship that meets their family’s needs.

I replaced the water inlet valve on my Whirlpool WRS555SIHZ06 yesterday. Since then, the ice maker is putting too much water into the tray, so the cubes are freezing together into one large block.

I have the Whirlpool diagnostic/service sheet and it includes an Ice Maker Water Fill Test with a target of about 100 mL ± 10 mL.

My questions are:

1. Is the ice-maker water fill amount adjustable on this specific model?
2. Is there a mechanical adjustment screw, or is fill time controlled electronically?
3. If the measured diagnostic fill is over 110 mL, would that point more toward the replacement inlet valve having a higher flow rate than the original?

The problem started immediately after replacing the valve, so I’m trying not to adjust the ice maker unless this model actually provides a proper fill-volume adjustment.

How often do you use in the winter?
I imagine it being so nice when it’s cold outside, maybe even snow lying around, and then jumping into the hot whirlpool

Our washer and dryer set came with our house. It is the whirlpool duet steam washer and dryer. Washer model number is WFW95HEDW0.
We just finished restoring our basement after sewage pipe broke and backed up to basement floors. So, we are just getting our washer and dryer back to the house. I am reinstalling them, which is simple enough. But I thought, might as well do some maintenance and cleaning before putting them all the way back on the wall!

Now I am seeing this plastic vent looking thing on the back of the washer. It is not depicted in any of the manuals or parts lists or anything for this model number…. Does anyone know what this is??? I shine a flash light in it, and it’s nasty! Looks caked with nasty stuff (not clogged tho seemingly) and it reeks. I want to clean it… but I want to understand what it actually is first!

I purchased the above washer brand new. It will not progress to the wash cycle. I have tried it with and without clothes, different settings, etc. Every time I start a cycle, it will start sensing, water will trickle onto the clothes, basket will rotate every few seconds. This will go on for a few minutes. Then it will drain and not go onto wash.

I am on my 2nd unit (returned the 1st). Am I doing something wrong?

Update: It will progress on a warm water cycle.
