how long for electum to call to schedule typically?

I got my proposal pretty quick from electum which I approved quickly and gave payment info.

How long are they typically taking to schedule? If there is a long lead time so be it. But I would at least like them to call and let me know when. I called their number, left messages. Seems like a black hole.

Heads up for a design quirk I hadn't caught before

I have a scheduled on off time for mornings.

I started pulling a shot exactly at my scheduled off time. And Move turned off in the middle of pulling a shot.

So just fyi firmware is not smart enough to know not to turn off if its in the middle of shot sequence.

Hopefully that's something they might address in a future firmware update or the new version thats coming.

Endgame? God I hope so

Espresso machine: Profitec Move

Grinders: Fiorenzato Allground Sense and Mokkom 64

Kettle: Cosori

Pour Over: Hario V60

Filter Drip: Breville Grind Control

I hope I have finally managed to reach endgame before my wife murders me.

I was only got a Breville Barista Express last year and now here we are.

My everyday grinder is now the Fiorenzato. But I decided to keep the Mokkom 64 on the station for single dosing decaf and occasional specialty.

I am fighting the temptation that I would like a higher quality single doser. But I might just put SSP burrs.

Lease deals now

Can lease deals be found these days?

What is a deal to hold out for on touring or elite?

I am thinking of doing my first ev as a prologue. But only if I can get a deal as I am well aware that it’s not a real Honda and has a few quirks.

My wife returned and then leases a new crv hybrid in February. I casually mentioned what about an electric and the dealer kind of laughed at me. But then I have been seeing stories here of some incredible sounding deals on a lease.

We always lease my wife’s car who drives less and I always own. But if we do an ev especially our first I think lease would be better.

Procoffeegear.com grinder purchase experience

I posted this as a reply to another thread on this outlet. But that was 7 months old with only a few replies.

I just ordered an open box Fiorenzato Allground Sense.

I excitedly waited for it all week. It was going to be a big step up from the Mokkom 64 (a Chinese white label generic / same as the Shardor 64) I currently use.

Well I get home with it waiting for me in the garage.

Right off the bat the box looks way more beat up then I would have liked. But whatever its open box who cares about the condition of the box.

I open it up. Not the color I ordered. Ok whatever they had several open box listings in different colors. As long as its in good condition.

Start unwrapping, stale coffee grounds come out in several parts. Ok not a great sign but even if they did a cursory clean coffee can hide everywhere and shipping shakes it loose.

I power it on, get out. Try to figure out how I set 2 shot button to an 18 graham dose so I can test it out. Not working exactly how I remember seeing it in YouTube videos.

It starts to dawn on me they sent me a regular Allground not the Sense with built in scale.

My experience with this is company is not off to a great start.

They are only Monday through Friday. Its going to be a frustrating weekend waiting until next week seeing how tough they are to get in contact with.

I will report back what happens. Shit happens. Accidents happen. If they go above and beyond to take quick and smooth action to rectify I could still be happy. Despite the open box unit having beat up packaging and old coffee in it it seems to be clean and in good working condition. But obviously unit with time based dosing is a different world then a weight based dosing unit.

- to be fair its the weekend. I will see how they are to deal with on Monday. And if they do a good job making it right I will update here so its fair to them.

3D out in 4D theater on visit today - based on FB comments out a few days maybe a week at least

Anyone have an inside info on why 3D is not working at the 4D theater.

I had a post going on the Legoland NY FB group. But mod there seems more concerned with posts that he feels are besmirching the good name of Legoland.

I think they are using the preshow projector to run the show at the moment. The aspect ratio is off going slightly too widescreen. So they probably have a big commercial 3d capable Christie. If I had to guess they probably hit the bulb life limit on that sucker. They probably don't have an inhouse team capable of maintaining that thing and are waiting for a response from Christie.

But anyway just curious if there is anyone here that actually knows.

On a similar note I've been annoyed that the 3d is not correctly setup in at least 3 screen on the ninjago ride. Its been like that for over 2 seasons now.

I'm not impressed by their ride maintenance.

Pedro Hernandez Etan Patz retrial

Does anyone know if the Pedro Hernandez retrial started? I'm not finding much online about it. Barely anything posted since the fall. I found a couple posts from months back that it was supposed to start June 1st which was just about the deadline they were given to either retry him or cut him loose.

Euro Holiday Inn's - rooms for 2 adults and a small child

I'm planning a trip for our child's spring break next year. We are thinking of taking him to London and Paris.

We have a good amount of IHG reward points. Past year or so we have had great success with using them for little trips like weekend ski getaways.

But we still have a good amount, enough to possibly cover 6 or 7 nights not counting our anniversary night from our rewards card.

Anyway one thing I didn't pick up on at first with Europe vs America is the default max occupancy usually being 2 not 4.

So especially for Paris I am finding most hotels I am looking at don't even show reward nights for those properties if occupant number is more then 2.

At least one of the Paris Holiday Inn's we have stayed at I'm pretty sure my wife and I could comfortably fit in the same room with our young son.

If I just book reward rooms with occupancy of 2 am I risking them giving us a hard time on check in with an additional small child?

Most likely I would be looking at city center Holiday Inn's for London and Paris. Though again mostly concerned about Paris; there is at least one Holiday Inn in center London in my points budget for a higher occupancy room.

Euro Themed Display

This is a display I put together to showcase sets I got for my wife, the household Lego builder this past Christmas and Mother's Day.

I had gotten her the Euro themed French Cafe, Trevi Fountain and Eiffel Tower to commerate our 10th anniversary trip to Europe last fall.

The Eiffel Tower set was on backorder and came just in time for Mother's Day. My wife did all the building and I put this display together for her in our office area in the house. I added personal photos from our trip to fill out the display.

I splurged upgrading from a BBE to a Profitec Move recently and its been awesome.

I have very hard water and with my BBE had just been making sure to run through a filter, change the machine filter and regularly descale.

With the big investment of getting a Move I wanted to put much more care into the water I was using.

My plan was just to make sure I was using water that keeps the machine in good condition and then worry about improvements to taste at a later date.

So I have been putting in gallong jugs of store brand purified water from the supermarket. My thought was the water labeled mineral might be too hard.

I honestly did not give this as much thought as I should; I figured it was a safe option and then go down the water rabit hole later.

But I put the purified water in a tds meter and I am only getting 5 to 7 ppm. Am I risking corrosion with that water in the machine?
