Overnight/express delivery?

Edit: Got it sorted, thanks so much! Does anyone know of any services providing overnight delivery to Whitehorse from the provinces? Specifically, I'm located near the red deer regional airport and hoping to get a parcel to Whitehorse asap, but Canada Post and Purolator both say Monday is the fastest.

I haven't lived there in some years so I can't recall what couriers service the area. Or charter companies even?

Thank you!

Red seal diesel techs

Just wondering what the job market is like in Yukon right now for diesel techs specializing in Mack and Volvo trucks? Are there decent opportunities up here, and what’s the pay typically like for red seal techs?

Would love to hear from anyone working in the industry locally.

cheap phone plan

I've been with Bell for 2 years and they have increased my phone plan by more than 10% each year. I'm looking to switch to another company that is cheap for a lot of data since I'm doing the no wifi-cabin. What have you found was the best to have over 40gb of data and good coverage in Whitehorse and around? Preferably a company that maintains their prices over the years.

What is Dawson City Music Fest like?

Some friends and I are going to be passing through Dawson sometime in July and I saw that they have a festival on. I see it’s quite a bit of money and just wanted to hear about your experiences! Is it a lot of fun? Dancing? Partying?

I'm looking for a good hairstylist

I haven't cut my hair in 6 years and am definitely in need of one. I recently started to embrace my curly hair and now want to get a curly cut. The only thing is i don't know a good stylist, any recommendations?

Campground suggestions

Hi! We’re from northern BC and planning on visiting the Whitehorse area for two nights for a little camping trip and I’m looking for suggestions on where we should tent camp, we’ll be arriving around 7pm in the evening so it has to be somewhere that allows anytime check ins, preferably has a shower, I’d prefer to be close to Whitehorse but it’s not necessary if there’s a much better campgrounds further away as I’ll have my car.

Also any suggestions for must see spots and things to do would be amazing :)

EDIT: Omg Reddit glitched and uploaded this post like 10 times sorry guys..

Homeowners Electrical Permit Test

I was wondering if anyone has taken the homeowners electrical permitting test who can provide a bit of feedback? I’ve read the homeowners handbook and have made notes but there is a lot of information in there. There is another thread on here but it’s a bit old. Any input would be helpful! Is it written or is there a practical portion?

Thanks!

Winners? Homesense? Something?

Yay or Nay? Whitehorse needs a Winners or something of the like? I’d even really like a place to find second hand furniture that is in person, not Facebook or Kijiji. Curious about other thoughts and suggestions.

I feel very mixed because it feels like a sign of BIG city growth and I don’t know if I am ready for that. The other part of me wants one so we don’t all have the same end table from Walmart.

Shuttle or rental car?

My sister and I are going to yukon in early September and staying in Kluane national park. I'm wondering if we should rent a car from Whitehorse to drive to the park, or if we should get a shuttle instead? What shuttle companies are reliable and safe for two female travellers? Are they able to pick us up from Kluane and take us back to Whitehorse? So many questions 😅 any help is appreciated!
