What to eat as a teen trying to lose weight?

I’m asking for breakfast lunch and snacks not for dinner because my mom already cooks for the family and I’m willing to cut on other meals cause her food is amazing.

So I’m a severe obese teen. And by that I mean I’m 100 pounds over the weight that I’m currently supposed to be. I’m not developing anymore height wise. And recently I’ve got inspiration to lose weight and become healthier.

My family is pretty middle class, so I’d prefer meals that were under 6$ but if it’s a little over that’s fine just as long as the ingredients are readily available.

Right now I’m thinking maybe a maintenance period is better currently and then maybe deficit in a few months after my calories are back to about the same. They’ve been awfully spotty lately, one day could be 1800 calories while the next it goes to 2400. Right now I think I just need to focus on being healthy rather than counting numbers.

Any help is appreciated!

Feeling nauseous after not eating for a full day; what to do?

I’m in college as of now, starting my freshman year. I got an early move-in date, so a lot of things around campus were closed. Yesterday, the dining hall near my hall was closed for students and so were the two other ones (one under construction and another one was just too far for me to walk). I thought I would be fine without eating, but I woke up and felt incredibly nauseous and tired; limbs shaking, dizziness, etc.

Now that I’m eating, I can’t stomach the food and it’s making me frustrated because my stomach feels so empty but I can’t seem to swallow without feeling like I’m gonna vomit. I never experienced this before so I’m unsure of what to do. If anyone has any advice because there is no way I’m going another day without eating at least one full meal, but my body can’t seem to handle it :(

What do employees actually want from workplace snacks?

If you're responsible for ordering snacks for an office, how do you decide what to buy?
Healthy snacks?
Protein options?
Traditional snacks?
Energy drinks?
Fresh meals?
I've been looking at different workplace refreshment models, including some of the solutions offered by PVS Refreshments, and I was surprised by how many companies are moving toward more personalized options.
What snacks disappear first in your office?

I'm supposed to eat healthier due to high cholesterol.

I'm supposed to eat healthier due to high cholesterol (237) exercise 4 times a week. I don't like vegetables, and only some fruits. Chicken is ok. I don't like turkey or tofu. Any simple recipes you might be able to share?

Does fruits is healthy for everyday eating

I’m trying to understand whether eating fruit every day is genuinely healthy, especially because fruits contain quite a lot of natural sugar.

least fishy fish?

Hi all! I am trying to eat healthier and I know adding fish to my diet would be helpful. Problem is for the most part I hate fish. I like really fresh sushi because it really doesn't taste fishy usually. I like seared tuna steak but it's expensive and can easily go the fishy route. What fish tastes the closest to chicken? I know tilapia tastes good but is apparently bad for you?

If you were to start a healthy food brand, what’s a product you wish existed?

If you were to start a healthy food brand, what’s a product you wish existed?

I feel like there are already so many “better-for-you” versions of popular foods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate bars, cereal, bread, ice cream, protein bars, etc.—made with simpler/better ingredients.

But what’s something you haven’t really seen a healthier version of that you would actually buy?

It could be a snack, dessert, breakfast food, drink, or even something from your culture that you wish had a healthier alternative.
Drop any ideas below!! I’m genuinely curious :)

What healthy eating rule did you drop that actually made your diet way better?

I used to force myself to eat plain salads, only to end up starving an hour later and eating random snacks. Adding actual fat and carbs to my greens changed everything.

What rigid eating rule did you abandon in favor of real balance?

Cheap, healthy meal ideas

I'm a highschooler, and I can't drive until January, nor do I have a job. I know, it's pitiful. I've always been overweight, and always bullied for it. I come from a bigger family, so a lot of my shape comes from genes. But i'd be lying if i said my diet wasn't poor. I'm trying to come up with cheap ways to better my eating habits, so i can lose weight. Things have been kind of tight around my house, as I'm sure you can imagine with the world how it is. I frequently find myself eating things like ramen, sandwiches, air fryer food, and frozen pizzas. I'm the only child at home (all my siblings have moved out) and usually it's up to me to make my dinner. I need some good, cheap, healthy ideas for what I can make for myself out of my pantry, since I'm limited to whatever is in the house. Maybe some ideas as to what i can request my mom buys that's good for you, but still cheap.

Once I move out and settle, it will be easier. But i can't wait; i need some ideas!
