separate boxes to solve

separate boxes to solve

Hi, I'm new here. I wanted to ask if anyone has these boxes available separately so I can print them out and fill them rather than writing in the book. It's from the Murdoku Back in Time. Or what advice would you give me to avoid writing in it?

What is your mental prompt or nudge when completely stuck?

Mine today was, after staring at the grid for AGES, “who cannot occupy this space?” I listed the letters, and crossed off those who it couldn’t be. Sometimes it’s where suspects AREN’T that matter as much as where they could be.

What works for you?

I have book 1 and 2. Should I complete the entirety of book 1 before starting book 2?

I ask because I am about halfway through book
1 and finding that on a lot of the puzzles I am getting stumped and need to look up how to solve it. Not sure if I should start the 2nd book to get more practice in at an easier level?

Am I dumb

For context I have Murdoku Volume 1, portuguese version. I‘m actually losing my mind. Many of these I cannot solve by myself and have to check the step by step solution in the back and I STILL don‘t get it. For example, in puzzle 37 the solution in the back says something like „… which isolates G in the last car“ when I still have 2 cars available even after following the step by step solution. This has happened in at least 4 other puzzles so far. I love sudoku but this is really frustrating me. Is it just me?

God I love this puzzle game!!! Recommendations?

Hello!!!! I just wanted to express how much I love murdoku, and receive any other recommendations people may have.

I am audhd and for the last....year and a half I'd say I've had a special interest / hyperfixation in sudoku (it's hard for me to differentiate the feeling until a certain time period), and I got to a point where my whole body felt Wrong if it was a weekday and I hadn't done at least one sudoku. But, I was bored of them!! I could feel my brain working, but the relief of having one finished got smaller and smaller. Then, a co-worker showed me his murdoku book. He was shocked the next week when I told him there was also a site (he's glad to hear) and that I already bought the book and pre-ordered volume 2. This is such a great puzzle!!

I think I love murdoku so much because it has beautiful visuals, and the logic used is similar-but-different from regular sudoku (my FAVE puzzles are the ones with room-clues, i.e the zookeepers). I also love reading each suspect clue, and imagining little plotlines and relationships to make it more exciting (and remember clues better). I also still do every NYT puzzle game (except bee and tiles) every day, though it feels more like a "let's stretch before a big game" rather than something i LOVE.

I am a little worried that if I indulge in my love of murdoku, I'll wear it out too quickly. I've already completed every available online puzzle, most twice. I'm working through the book though my handwriting sucks so it takes longer, haha. When I was in highschool, I got this way about minesweeper, playing larger and larger maps until I got frustrated at the lack of dopamine and quit. Then I just had no hobbies for a short period until I found something else to fixate on (scooby doo for 6 months, SVU and SATC for a year, then scream movies)

If anyone has any fan-made puzzles, or similar puzzle game recommendations, I'd love to hear! I love logic puzzles deeply and I feel like doing a puzzle a day has been not just making me sharp in the mornings, but also better at explaining problems to other people. I don't want to burn this hobby with my broken brain :p

Lost progress upon creating an account

I have been playing the online Murdoku puzzles for the past few days (and looking to get the books upon completing what's online), but I didn't create an account at first and played as a guest. However, upon creating an account because I lost all previous progress (only the last solve, the last of the hard puzzles, survived because I still had the tab open with the solution and I could submit it immediately).

Is there any way to recover all the previous solves? I don't really feel like redoing puzzles just for the sake of completeness.

Murdoku for kids?

Can anyone recommend something similar to Murdoku but for kids (8-12)? My daughter loves watching me solve them and has asked for something similar for her.

#26 The Clothing Store object

What is the object in the bottom row in fitting room 6? Is it a table or is it a mat?

#75 The Circus

Can anyone give me a little hint to move forward with this one because I’m not seeing anything. I still don’t know the three roles. I believe there are four empty columns but no idea which.

Help with vol 2 chapter 29 The saloon (spoilers!)

In step 6 of the solutions for puzzle 29, how do we know A goes in C5 without using trial and error? At this point, it looks like A could go in either R5C5 or R5C6 (with F following in R9C6 or R4C7). Is there immediate logic that eliminates C6 right away, or do you have to look ahead to see it break?

Volume 1 puzzle 46

Why does the solution (and the videos I’ve seen online) act like it’s a given that H and E are in bedroom 3? H could as well have been in R3C5 —> E in R2C4. So it is not automatically a given that H and E are in bedroom 3. Please help

Book 1, 38 The Chess tournament.

I placed everyone but mixed up 2 people and still got the victim in the correct room and the correct Murderer.. has this happened to anyone else? Did I technically "loose" since I didn't do it like the solutions says? Or is there more than one right answer as long as you get the correct room and Murderer?

People who use a pen in the books scare me

What do you do if you screw up? Personally when I get to the hardest puzzles I tend to end up massacring my poor eraser. I cannot imagine not having the option of starting over when my attention span inevitably betrays me and I put Kate west of Joey when it should have been east.

Murdoku.com is temporarily down (hosting outage)

Edit: It's back up!

Just a heads-up, Murdoku.com is temporarily down because my hosting provider is currently experiencing an outage.

The site should be back as soon as the host is up and running again.

Sorry for the interruption!

What do you do with the books, once you have completed all riddles?

I just threw the second volume into the trash after completing all riddles. And it doesn‘t feel good as they are so beautiful. But putting it into a shelf, knowing I will never use it anymore?
I wouldn‘t have these struggles with Sudoku booklets.
And just to make sure, as I know Manual Garand is reading here as well: this is NOT a request to make them more shabby!
