This show makes me so frickin happy.

I know it sounds sad but it really does make me so happy. I’m rewatching for the first time since I was a kid and I forgot how wonderful it is. The storyline, the characters, the house. Everything about it is so magical and cosy. I can’t believe I spent years not rewatching it thinking it was a kids tv show because it’s way more than that. Maybe it’s because I’m a millennial and I feel nostalgia for 90s but they just don’t make shows like this anymore. Anyway I’m off to buy a lava lamp!

Sabrina Down Under

We're heading down to the land of kangaroos and vegemite and...mermaids? It's time to kick off the Season 3 break with "Sabrina Down Under" where Valerie is now a mermaid named Fin who has a major attitude. Actually getting to watch this movie took way more effort than it deserved but we made it happen just for our listeners.

Unlike when she went to Rome, there is actually some continuity when Sabrina visits Australia. Though there is still weird sexual tension with a man who is not Harvey (and is much, MUCH older). We discuss at length how Salem is able to take an annual vacation and more questions about the limits (or lack thereof) placed on witches-turned-cats. You also won't want to miss the computer-animated fish Sabrina!

What are some other french dubbed Sabrina-like storyline tv series?

Recently, I just finished Sabrina. It was french dubbed. I speak french because I was self-learning it for years. Got really hooked up with its story. Now, I don't know what to watch next

If you like Sabrina, what other sitcoms do you think compare?

I just need boring TV series suggestions. Something that wont stress me out or trigger me. I currently watch too much true crime. I love sabrina when I was 4-10 years old but I wouldnt remember any other sitcoms such as from the 90s. Looking for some suggestions. Foreign ones too, since I read subtitles.

Favourite episode of all time: To Tell A Mortal

To Tell A Mortal is my favourite episode of all time. Sabrina gets to actually "come out of the linen closet" and tell Harvey and Valerie that she's a witch - and they're super cool with it. It's so genuine and love the spirit of the episode. Wish they did another one in the newer seasons.

Confused..

*SPOILER* (idk if anyone hasn't finished the series yet 😂) So toward the end of season 7 when Sabrina is about to get married, Roxie asks Sabrina when she's going to be moving out.. isn't the house sabrinas Aunts? Like I remember that episode when they were talking about paying the house off and was so excited about it. Now Roxie and Morgan are staying in it? Just confused lol

S3E3: Sabrina doesn't react to Libby's photo in the episode's final scene

I was expecting Sabrina to take that photo of Libby down from the locker door, or at least have some kind of reaction to it at the final scene — but the writers just left it there and never addressed it. Did anyone else notice that? What do you think?

Treatment of Salem

Anyone else get annoyed by how hostile they were towards Salem as the seasons went on? Like they treated him like family in the beginning seasons but then treated him like a nuisance in the later seasons. Idk I found that to be mean especially because he’s such beloved character.

I love the family dynamic of the early seasons

I love how in the early episodes the Spellmans are portrayed as an unconventional but very loving family.

Hilda and Salem could've been written to have a mutually hateful relationship–A wannabe dictator and his follower forced to live together. As cat and cat owner, no less.

Yet in the early episodes he's treated like a family member AND animal companion at the same time. They take care of him like a pet but he also shares regular human dinner with the family (even cooks for them sometimes), celebrates family holidays like the Halloween family reunion with them (instead of visiting his own family which he'd be free to do), etc. and is hip with the family lore like he's just another relative.

I think my fave example of this would be in "A River of Candy Corn Runs Through" where he and Hilda get into a back and forth over how "you never used the [gift] I got you," "yeah well you don't use THIS gift I gave you."

In a regular show that's a regular exchange, but in Sabrina this is weird (in a sweet way).

Feeling old yet?? Soleil Moon Frye (Punky Brewster) is 50 now.

I'm a year older, and I already feel it.

i miss jenny

im rewatching Sabrina again, and I didn't realize how *annoying* Valerie is. i miss jenny so much. I liked her character a lot more. Valerie's only personality trait is "I'm such a loser" and it got old before s2e1 was even over lol
