Happy 74th Birthday to Mickey Rourke

All I could say watching him in a few flicks in 1985....he was good right up there with Micahel Douglas in looks, charm, charisma, and acting chops

40 years ago today (9/15/86), TRUE COLORS was released. 🌈

TRUE COLORS is Cyndi Lauper's second studio album, which was released on 9/15/86. The album was successful, selling 7 million copies worldwide, but was far less successful than her debut album SHE'S SO UNUSUAL. The album spawned three hit singles, including the #1 spot for the title track (Cyndi's 2nd #1 single). "Change of Heart" peaked at #3, and "What's Going On" peaked at #12. The album peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart. The album received two Grammy Award nominations: Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. The song, "True Colors", became an anthem for the LGBTQ community and is one of Cyndi's best-loved songs. 🌈

So am I the only one who thinks Jeremy Allen White should play him in a biopic?

Kickboxer, was released on this day in 1989.

This was Van Damme's 3rd feature film and the last one for the 80's to be released. Cyborg--his 2nd starring film--was released earlier that year.

Happy 75th Birthday to Michael Keaton (September 5, 1951)

Batman and Beetlejuice placed him on the A list, but it was Mr. Mom in which I love him just a tad more, and Gung Ho as well.

IN memory of the great Charles Bronson (November 3rd 1921 - August 30th 2003)

Badass dude IRL as well, 25 missions as a tail gunner in ww2 and lived to become one of the greatest action/crime stars in movies. Placed in a great star status since the 60's especially with Dirty Dozen, it was Death Wish in 74 that put him on the map. My favorite 80's moves from him and in my favorite order: Kinjite, Assassination, The Evil That Men Do....my top 3.

Remembering Gene Wilder.....2016 was also one of the worst years for celebs as well.

first time seeing this wild eyed genius, was in Willy Wonka. Haunted Honeymoon is my fave film from him and also from his wife, Gilda.
