Finally got the Quad God!
Just excited about it so wanted to share. Ended up buying one for not much more than Onnit was selling them for (although shipping was a bitch). Considering what they normally go for now I am very pleased!

So after a few weeks with the standard 3kg mace and following the 360 tutorial from the Flow made easy guy ( I feel like at least droppimg his name here since his videos have been useful to get me started) I started trying the 5kg. I have been taking some videos along the way and in the first ones I clearly could see what was going on. Now I still have an idea but any (sensible) advise is welcome. What I notice is that my elbows don't point as high as when I swing the 3 kg maybe because I am a bit scared yet. Also, and this is for the two weights, the transition between the end of the pendulum and the back to center pose seems not fluid. Do you agree? Any tips or indications going forward? Thank you, may yall go with the flow
Magnificent Mace Marathons
MMMM, thats good training.
A nice check in with Gyatso, the first ever gada I made. Weighing in at 6kg with a long handle, this mace swings beautifully for these longer duration sets.
Had to push just enough to get a sweat on to keep a 36 rep per minute pace. I like to check in with a 30+ minute swing about once a month but haven't been too concerned with the pacing for quite awhile. It was nice to see where my comfortable pace was at for a long round.
Im going to be phasing in a little more of the volume swings in the next little bit. Ive been missing them during this power building phase. I have a solid plan laid out to do so and am looking forward to seeing how it plays out!
Try this out, with the light mace before you go heavy.

This is the heaviest mace i have seen being swinged for many repetitions
And it makes me believe in these pdf possibilities

Is anyone else aware of this or training for it?
I mean it is stated in the pdf that you can compete with 50kg maces but i have never sern anything close to it
Heaviest i have ever seen was 40 kg and the guy did like 2 repetitions
I an comming from a ketlebell background, specially simple & sinister. I an almost reaching the sinister standard, in this case my swings need a little more height
But i want to start something else so i bougth 3 macebells
1 with 10kg 1 with 20kg and 1 with 40 kg
Now if I where to do a routine like simple and sinister but stressing the mace uniqueness
What 2 exercises could i pick?
And how many reps?
I weight around 78kg
I just got my first mace. Should I alternate the top and bottom hands? Or do you always keep the same one on top?
When you are swinging heavier weights, use more leg drive to support your swing, and feel more control of the weight using your whole body. 🙏🏼
I do a lot of work with kettlebells, and saw some videos about using clubs. However, the clubs that Wildman and others use seem to be pretty expensive for a person who is not yet committed to clubs. I was thinking of starting with 10lb and seeing how my joints respond.
The challenge I am finding is that the Amazon stuff is really small and I don't imagine I get the correct movement challenges with such short clubs. Of course, I don't know anything about clubs, but is is just an uninformed guess. But to get a longer size, seems like I have to go to the more expensive clubs which I don't want to commit to yet. Does it make sense to buy like a 10 lb mace and use it as a club--if that is possible. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.
Mirroring each side without putting the Steel Mace down and managing stress during fatigue, that breaks the structure/techniques.
Hi All, Looking to get into mace training and have settled on getting an adjustable to start. So far I've narrowed it down to:
Between these four do people have strong opinions? Am I missing any. Right now i think i'm leaning towards the Maverick Pro in steel because it's slightly longer than the Kensui (i'm fairly tall) and steel because buy once cry once. I'm totally new to this practice though and could be totally off base. Appreciate any input you all might have.
Getting some movement in this morning before it gets too hot out. 42lbs on the CkMaceworks Cadi
