Sony PlayStation-2 lens on a modern mirrorless camera

I installed a cameraEyeToy lens on a homemade adapter made from a Z-mount cap.

:)

Just kind of wanted to flex - Opened it in store and I guess I got pretty lucky, unsure on whether to sell or not but I think I'll hold onto it until I know how much they're worth!! super cool regardless

Out with the Kodak Charmera millennium edition

Except the first photo showing my charmera millennium orange edition, which was taken with the 1st Gen Charmera, the rest was taken with the newer edition.

The images are sharper, whilst the 1st gen’s photo was a little washout.

Found a toy camera for $4 at the clearance section at walmart

From the metadata it isn't the generic HX-Tech so i'm assuming it was either made extremely cheaply (only really outputs in vga) or is another dashcam-as-a-camera.
It is the KinderPhoto Digital Camera from Merkury Innovations. Smells pretty bad brand new (something to keep in mind)

Fist time buyer

Looking for suggestions for a first time toy camera. For context I am going through my first pregnancy and I would like to be able to document that journey and my babies when they arrive.

So far the G10, Millennium Charmera and Vetek have caught my eye.

Any suggestions for this use-case scenario?
Ease of use (filters and downloading) and shutter speed are some key factors.

First twenty-four hours with the Redwindpix

Pretty impressed with the first round of images from the Rewindpix P135. All shot with the GLD200 film simulation. Only a few of the images had a slight exposure adjustment, otherwise no other edits outside of the border I added.

Charmera at Old Town and Disney Springs

I've been seeing everyone having fun with the Charmera, but I didn't really want to spend $35 on one. Then I saw the Millennium edition and just had to get one. And somehow, by great fortune, I got the exact design that I wanted. Yesterday I went to Old Town and Disney Springs to play with it and see what it could do. I love the quality of the photos and the shutter sound is satisfying. I also love how tiny it is, but unfortunately I guess that means the battery doesn't last very long. I think I used it for about 2 hours total and took 95 pictures. I turned it off a few times but mostly I just let it go into standby mode.

Just wanted to share this mini collage I made in my sketchbook!

Made it using the poster/insert that come with the charmeras and a page from a magazine! Need to get my hands on the new millenium design to make another!

Rediscovering the Holga Lens on a 2008 Canon EOS 1000D

Hi everyone,

For the past few months I've been using a Holga HL-C lens mounted on my old Canon EOS 1000D from 2008, and I've spent some of my free time experimenting with this combination.

I have to admit that getting used to the lens wasn't easy at first. The Holga is incredibly dark, and because I wanted to limit myself to using only the optical viewfinder, composing and focusing shots was quite challenging. Looking through the viewfinder often felt like trying to take a picture through a dark abyss. The lens simply lets in very little light, so finding the right settings took a lot of trial and error.

Once I learned how to work around its limitations by carefully adjusting ISO and shutter speed, however, I started getting results that I was genuinely happy with. The photographs have that unmistakable Holga character that I remember from using the lens with 35mm film cameras years ago. In many ways, it felt like stepping back into the era when I was shooting film regularly.

Unfortunately, I've had to largely give up analog photography these days. In the area where I live there are very few places left that still develop film, and the whole process has become increasingly expensive. Using the Holga lens on a digital camera has therefore been a wonderful way to reconnect with that creative experience without the ongoing costs and practical difficulties of shooting film.

I'd like to share a few of my images here in the hope that they might inspire some of you to try a Holga lens yourself, or perhaps even explore film photography with an Holga camera if you haven't already. There's something truly special about the look it produces: vintage, dreamy, imperfect, and beautifully low-fi. The softness, the lack of technical perfection, and the slightly surreal rendering all come together to create images that feel more poetic and emotional to me.

To achieve the vivid colors you see in these photos, I used a custom picture profile on my Canon with the color saturation pushed quite aggressively. I was genuinely pleased with how the final images turned out.

These photos were taken purely for fun, with no particular artistic ambitions or expectations—just a simple personal project and an enjoyable photographic experiment.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Thanks for taking a look!

Playing with the light - Generic Vetek

Had some fun in the very early morning with the HJD-02! We've been climbing in the high 30s for a few days in a row now, and otherwise it's been raining or not windy enough to keep mosquitoes at bay. The worst kind of summer for me and I already dislike summer 😂 But the light was low and gorgeous.

Aquí mis primeras fotos

Les dejo estas fotitos directo de la Charmera, sin edición más allá de los filtros que trae; sinceramente me encantan, pensé que tendrían una mala definición pero están bastante bien
¿Qué opinan de la cámara?
