For some reason Obsidian has consistently deleted all *.docx and all *.msg attachments and I have no idea why or how that happened. These were synced and stored in my attachment folder.

This most likely occurred around the time when I got a new computer and setup Obsidian and started syncing.

It seems I am able to restore from Sync.

Does anyone have a clue how this might have happened?

Edit: Just noticed that "Sync all other types" was turned off on the new computer. It wasn't turned on on the old computer and I am also syncing my settings. Not sure if that caused mass deletion of files. That would be a catastrophic implementation.

I sometimes upgrade music from mp3/Opus to FLAC. Problem is now the tracks are displayed twice - one for Opus and one for FLAC even though the Opus files are deleted from the file system. How can I avoid/fix this?

I am new to Navidrome. I have already checked the official list if compatible players, but I am looking for user experience.

What is a good player for Android that:

Sist men ikke minst. Vet folk egentlig at tek-selskapene driver lobbyvirksomhet for å implementere alderskontroll? Eksempler på disse er OpenAI, Meta, Snap, X og Apple, Med unntak av Apple tjener disse selskapene enorme summer penger på verifiserte brukere.

One of the things that keep holding me back from Linux is remote desktop. I know I can get different kinds of desktop environments for this, but they all feel very laggy compared to what I am used to with RDP Windows <-> Windows.

I have naming script in Picard that does mostly what I want except one thing:

add the original source in the tags and file name

But why is that so important to me? Because I believe a true hoarder organizes his files and care about quality - at least the source of the music.

There is a crucial difference between a YouTube rip and a 24 bit FLAC ripped from a CD. Skipping this step means you will have no way to tell later on where the audio came from or if the quality. You will have to reason that by deduction.

So I added a custom tag called "source" in Picard like this:

I asked GPT to improve my rename script and I added this:

Which will result in:

01 - title [WEBDL YouTube].opus

At least now I don't have to worry about the original source of some of my tracks.
