Vodafone 5G+ showing after latest iOS update

Just noticed after last night’s big update (iOS 27 Public Beta 3) that the phone now shows 5G+ , speeds same as yesterday , I think the modem software was updated last night to reflect the actual connection speeds ☺️

Proton Mail on Windows Having issues (iOS fine)

Hello,

I went to install the app on windows this morning, and it says need to verify to add proton and it goes though its own captcha , then afterwards the app is hanging on the screen on the left (waiting) .

Not sure why this is happening, the proton small verification window does send an email or sms to your proton backup email etc, then completes its own verification.

I'm on windows 11, App ver 1.0 (Bereans #43) . iOS is working fine

【Important Notes】
This update includes interface adjustments. To ensure proper functionality, it is recommended to update the firmware, client, and related apps to the latest versions.

【Control Panel】

  1. Hardware & Power > Power: Hard drive sleep now supports selecting specific storage pools for sleep and configuring wake-up strategies.
  2. About > Apps: The "Theater", "Photos", and "Music" apps can now be moved to a different volume by changing the installation path (this feature will be gradually extended to more apps in future updates).
  3. About > Apps: The "Theater", "Photos", and "Music" apps now support configuring accessible users (this feature will be gradually extended to more apps in future updates).
  4. About > Apps: Third-party and container apps now support the "Reset app" function, which clears app data and restores the app to its default state, resolving issues caused by corrupted data, configuration errors, or cache problems (this feature will be gradually extended to more apps in future updates).

【Files】

  1. The width of the "Details" panel can now be adjusted by dragging. Additionally, the file count and subfolder count within a folder are now displayed.
  2. The "Delete permanently" option has been removed for standard users when deleting shared subfolders.
  3. Fixed issues caused by overly long file names.

【Storage】
The minimum hard drive capacity for SSD caching has been adjusted to 16 GB.

【App Center】

  1. When uninstalling the "Snapshot" app, linked snapshot files can now be deleted at the same time.
  2. Fixed an issue where the volume description of the selected storage location was not displayed when choosing an installation path for an app.

【Others】

  1. "UGREEN AI" has been renamed to "Model Manager" and can now be uninstalled. (Note: Uninstalling will disable AI features in apps such as "Photos" and "Surveillance Center". Please proceed with caution).
  2. In certain apps, the image viewer now displays thumbnail previews at the bottom. Affected apps: Universal Search, Snapshot, Files, Vault, and File Version Explorer.
  3. Optimized the startup speed for certain MP4 videos.
  4. Fixed some known issues to improve user experience.

【Control Panel】
User > Shared Folder: Permission priority has been optimized. If there is a conflict between user permissions and those of the associated user group, permissions are applied in the following priority: Deny Access > Read-Only > Read/Write > No Setting.

【Files】

  1. The permission logic for shared folders has been optimized. If a user has both Read/Write and Read-Only permissions for a shared folder, the Read-Only rpermission takes priority for security reasons to prevent unintended file modifications.
  2. Web/PC: A "Recycle Bin" shortcut has been added to the desktop for easier access.

【Universal Search】
This update includes enhanced functions and configuration options, as well as interaction improvements.

  1. Fuzzy search of file names using word segmentation and tag-based file search are now supported.
  2. App integration: Search results from the "Photos", "Theater", "Music", "Comics", "Online Office", and "Knowledge Center" apps or features have been integrated to enable centralized, cross-app search.
  3. It is now supported to customize the search scope and excludie irrelevant or private directories. This ensures both result accuracy and privacy protection.
  4. It is now supported to display search results from selected apps.
  5. While typing, search results are loaded and displayed in real time, significantly improving search responsiveness and timeliness.
  6. The "Universal Search" entry has been removed from the desktop. On the web/PC client, the search interface can be accessed via the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F (Windows) or Command+F (macOS).
  7. The most relevant search results are automatically identified and displayed with priority.

【Account】

  1. Web/PC: "UGREEN Cloud Account" has been renamed to "UGREEN Account". This change has been applied in the "Account", "Control Panel" and related login pages.
  2. Web/PC: Account settings have been divided into two sections: "Local Account" and "UGREEN Account." At the same time, the UI design has been optimized for management.
  3. The "Nederlands" (Dutch) language option has been added.

【UGREEN AI】
The AI console "UGREEN AI" has been added, enabling centralized management of integrated models.

【Others】

  1. The display of messages in the "Notifications" area has been optimized. Additionally, you can now specify which apps are allowed to send notifications via settings.
  2. Fixed the issue of garbled characters in some external subtitles in the web video player.
  3. Fixed some known issues to improve user experience.

Important Note:
After upgrading and restarting the device, a full indexing will be performed automatically. If you need to exclude certain directories, please configure this in advance under "Control Panel > Indexing Service > Universal Search > Settings > File Search > Excluded Paths."
