It’s hard to convince someone to come and live out here for years at a time as Chief Astronomer, with nobody to talk to but the person bringing supplies once a month, a couple of students, and the occasional seal.

The tower has been fitted out with relative luxury to try and make it a more attractive prospect, but even so, those who take the post are usually a little… unhinged.

They do say that, after a few months, the wind starts talking to you. Telling you to do things. Maybe that explains the recent curious disappearances…
