Thoughts on gearshift multipliers? (Read below)
So gearshift is a massive amp to speed as we know.
It brings a 45% Deku to go from being able to react to and block an above prime all might Shigarakis attacks to then completely perception blitzing him with just first gear alone.
Then we have second gear which a blitz above first and so on for each higher gear from third gear to top gear to gearshift overrdrive.
I say that each gear should be a bare minimum 1.5× to 2× speed increase. I think this makes perfect sense for a bare minimum as first gear is fast enough to make a 45% Deku perception blitz an above prime all might level Shigaraki.
Now I'm sure people will bring up the "but gearshift overrdrive is only equal to 120%?" Which is a fair question to ask. As at face value this makes no sense. How can first gear be like a 2× amp in speed but overrdrive is only a bit above that? The answer can be split in between two explanations.
Firstly, the 120% for gearshift overrdrive is referring to the power of the punch more so than just the speed. Regardless, as we've seen many times, one for all's percentage increase seems to be exponential and not a linear increase. So 120% would be exponentially above 100% anyways.
So again, do we agree each gear should be a bare minimum 1.5 to 2× increase for speed? I mean we already know too that in gearshift he can do a quintuple which is bare minimum 5× increase as it's speed so fast 1 smash turns into 5. So that supports this too.
