Is there anything that I can do to get a refund? My mom doesn't use that number anymore as well
I have wifi at home and office, i just need connectivity when i go out in weekends.
I know that 548 plan for 84days is cheaper option that vi offers.
But can i use data only plans without any base plans or else any better alternative plan?
So I bought this new number from VI in March-April as I just turned 18 this year.
This number belonged to some Yashmin Ali guy in Balaghat (I am based in Gwalior) before me but due to inactivity the number was passed onto me.
Now the problem is, This guy has a 1.5-2 lakhs loan from HDBFS on his name which he didn't pay and now He is a defaulter. I get call bombed at least once per week by this HDBFS bank. I wrote hundreds of emails to the bank, went to their office in my city and only after writing multiple applications to the local manager was my number removed from the loan And today I recieved a call from a relative of his saying that "My brother has had a heart attack and his aadhar card is linked to your number which was his a few months ago, So could you please share the OTP? We want to avail a health benefit card (Ayushman card I suppose)". I immediately refused like all of my documents are linked to this number now even my bank account.
Not only that but now this guy's wife is texting me (screenshot attached).
I do want to help him if he is genuinely in need but in this day and age where digital scams are at peak, I simply can't share the OTP.
And f*ck you VI for passing on a defaulter's number to me.
Like I am aware of the TRAI rule that after 90 days a number is cleared to be reassigned to a new user and it's the previous owner's responsibility to unlimk all their accounts and ID's. But shouldn't companies verify if the user has any loans or important documents on this number? Now that guy's family has to bear all the expenses cuz' I ain't telling no OTP.
Once again, F*ck you VI!
(Didn't know where to post this so just posting it here and also pls tell me if I can do anything)
I’m looking for a mobile plan where I can keep my SIM active and receive bank OTPs. I don’t really need mobile data or much calling.
Is there any affordable plan that’s suitable for this? Any recommendations?
"Hello! We have received a complaint against your number for sending UCC which is under investigation. Kindly note, as per TRAI regulation, if you are not a registered Telemarketer, sending commercial / promotional SMS or call may lead to withdrawal of services." I just received this sms from vi today morning. I use this mumber for personal calls and i rarely calls strangers. What to do?
I'm not 100% sure but ig VI actually removed the data cap of 300gb, earlier it showed how much data remaining from 300gb but now it shows just unlimited. Or it might be that it just shows unlimited now but it still is 300 gb cap. The previous would be a goat move and the latter a d**k move.
Edit: currently its showing data usage only in sms which you get after you call customer care number 199. In the SMS it shows data being deducted from 300GB. I have posted the screenshot in comments. So ig it makes it clear that data is still 300GB.
Hey guys,
I need your advice on this situation. I've been using an idea number for the past 10plus years and last year the sim got deactivated out of the blue, upon checking I was told to go to the nearest vodafone store and get it activated. I went there with my parents as we all got our numbers deactivated, followed the procedure of getting the documents reverified and got a new Vodafone-idea sim.
The store person there told us that since we are porting we have to mandatory get a postpaid plan for 3 months and after that we can switch back to prepaid. We didn't do much research on that and agreed to it. Then once 3 months got over, I paid my due bills and then reached out to the store and got it changed to prepaid (as the postpaid was too expensive, I was paying 900 a month for nothing). She also told me that I might have to pay an extra amount for leaving postpaid. I said okay.
During this time the store lady took my phone and my mom's phone to send a message and receive an otp under the pretext of porting our sims. We were clueless and gave it and then the sims were ported to prepaid and we came back home.
The moment I reached home I got a notification from Google maps replying to me for leaving a review at their store. I did not! The lady unbeknownst to us has used our phones to leave a review there. I was fired up since this was a huge privacy breach. I immediately went through all the reviews and I saw that all of them were fake reviews made by the people working there. The store is >!VI Store Velachery!<, chennai. I read through the reviews that people have been scammed into taking postpaid plans during sim porting and it was not MANDATORY TO DO SO!
I left a huge review complaining about this and the vodafone customer care reached out to me asking about this and I told her how I was cheated into getting a postpaid plan and how the store person used my phone and left a review without my knowledge. They apologized and said they'll take action but I can still see to this day that there are 100 fake reviews being added everyday.
Now, the vodafone has reached out to me with a notice threatening legal action and are telling me to pay the money even though this whole situation isn't my fault. I don't want to pay this. Please help me with what I can do.
So I'm a student, and my average usage is like ~400GB/1TB. So I have to use Jio as it only provides true unlimited net. And other perks, like callertunes, etc.
Since Airtel and Jio are creating a duopoly, I'm thinking of using Vi as my primary SIM from now. I'm already using one BSNL as my secondary.
My parents have been OG of Vodafone (since it was Hutch), so our family's SIM ownership is like this.
1 in Airtel (brother), 1 in Jio (me), 1 in Vi (mom), 2 in Vi, and 1 in BSNL.(dad)
I'm looking for a perfect family plan where I can enjoy OTTs, unlimited (or as much as possible for a month), and free perks like daily lifestyle subscription bundles.
I prefer Netflix; Mom watches serials on Hotstar. My brother and I live in a city far from home, so we are totally dependent on mobile data.
Help me choose which plan has the best ROI.
The thing is I am a tourist and made a sim from some shady shop in Chennai. Now I need to recharge it and I have no other payment method other than my VISA card. Can I enter my details in the app just to recharge? The sim documents is in my name just the aadhar card is of someone else.
I am currently using jio but they don't have any unlimited recharge plan for 4g coverage. In my area 5g does not work so planning to switch to VI. I went to the store and they are asking for 500 for like 4-5 months for 50gb plan. Found it a bit expensive. So is going to some local shop good idea? Or if you guys have any other ideas pls tell me!!!!
