my father's surgery is coming up, and i just want to gain some insights or tips on what should we do or is there any tips for people who'll be experiencing having a colostomy bag for the first time.

my dad's quite old, so i think that's important for the context. to be specific, here are a few questions i have in mind:

1. my dad sleeps early, so is it advisable to eat on or before 6pm so he can sleep before 10? or should it be earlier?
2. do you place bedding mats for the first few months in case it spills?
3. what tips do you have when it comes to sleeping?
4. since clearing out the bag can be v smelly, do u have tips to get it through faster or put something on your nose to counter the smell?

problem/goal: naghahanap po kami ng kasambahay kaso dahil kahit yung mga kakilala namin sa probinsya wala na ring makuha, tatanong ko po sana if saan pa po ba pwede maghanap.

context: maliit po kami na pamilya at may maliit na aso, matanda na rin po mga magulang at may sakit kaya kailangan na po ng kasama. hindi naman po sobrang demanding ng trabaho kasi masinop naman po kami mismo.

previous attempts: may mga dati na po kaming kasama, pero hindi po nagtatagal kasi yung iba aalis na para mag-ofw, kaya mas gusto po sana namin mas matagal at di na pa-iba iba
