Y’all are overblowing how bad Statica is
When I saw what some of you guys were saying about it, I thought, “It can’t be that bad”. It’s not. It’s just standard A7X, but a lot of what would be guitars are synths, and with heavy autotune on the vocals.
I guarantee you that if the synths were replaced with guitars and the autotune were toned down (or removed entirely), you would like it. I’d go as far as to say some of you would love it.
Why do I start to hate something once people start to be overly annoying about it?
I've noticed a pattern I've gotten into quite frequently, where suddenly a movie/TV show or musician would get a lot of love and praise online, and I would begin to develop a very strong dislike (and, at times, borderline hatred) of that thing. It’s happened with musicians like Chappell Roan and the band Angine de Poitrine, sometimes Youtubers for some reason.
I've never bothered to learn why I might do this until a day or two ago, when some discourse started showing up on my social medias about Obsession (how a Youtuber "completely missed the core message of the film", something like that). After seeing a few too many of these posts, I began to build a deep hatred for this movie that I haven't even seen.
Why do I do this? Is this normal? Please, enlighten me.
Gerard Way drew the band once, apparently
Sad we haven't seen the drawing by now. It'd be very cool to see.
