What kind of setting do you think the new Doctor should be introduced in?

Just want to get a fun discussion going and read some cool ideas.

Let’s say we’re talking about the incarnation after Billie Piper (if she is in fact the Doctor).

Should it be a Christmas episode? Or maybe an anniversary special event?

Do you think the Doctor being introduced in a specific historical era would be interesting? Or more or a far-flung-cosmic setting? Or modern day, as is usual tradition?

Would they be pitted against a classic villain? Or a new creation?

While we’re at it, who had the best introduction episode?

Do you have any headcanon for any minor/extinct families that haven’t been mentioned in the comics?

I’m late to the party and only just blasted through volumes 1-8 of this amazing story this year. I’m really glad that there’s a subreddit community here to discuss it!

So, do you have any headcanon for some smaller families that could exist in this world of Carlyles, Morrays, Bittners and Vassalovkas?

Are they a minor house serving under the umbrella of one of the major families? Or are they now extinct, having been destroyed by a major family?

Where do they operate? Do they represent a certain people/nation of today?

Did they ever have a Lazarus? Did they have a speciality in terms of industry?

Or any other details that you’d like to add to this world.
