1 day in NYC in December

I am coming to NYC for a day on a bus trip from Virginia. I've been to NYC before but it's been about 10 years. I am in my 30's and want to make the most out of the short time I am there. Any recommendations on cute cafes, street food, do not miss spots, etc? I plan on navigating it alone and am nervous about it so I'm trying to plan as much as I can. TIA

Meet my new baby

Meet my new baby, Bloom! I get to bring her home on the 17th and I couldn't be more excited! I had to say goodbye to my little man in Aug of 2024 and it was time to love a tiny soul again. My heart hasn't felt joy like this in a long time!

Trouble transitioning

Hello! I have been a vegetarian in the past but that was a very long time ago. I am finding it difficult to transition back to vegetarianism. I think the hardest part is eating out and also getting enough protein in daily. I have lost a significant amount of weight, purposefully, and want to make sure I'm getting enough protein daily. Do you all have any tips to transitioning to the vegetarianism lifestyle?

Delete if this isn't allowed but I have started a gofundme for my mom due to medical bills and her having to move and not having any finances. If I could take care of this I would, but we need help. If you are interested in donating anything you can, let me know and I will send you the link. Thanks for reading.

▲ 21 r/OCD

I just got finished with my psychiatrist appointment. This is the first time any provider has mentioned OCD to me. F/38 with severe anxiety and depression. I never thought of having OCD because I don't have any outwardly crazy compulsions, but now that I think about it, I may have some that aren't super obvious. He mentioned OCD when I told him about my ruminating and seemingly "obsessive" thoughts. Is this common with OCD? Does anyone else experience this?
