I’m in the Bay Area, CA and I would like to get a scar; but I don’t know where to look. I contacted a shop called Body Mods, but they don’t do scars and they recommended people who don’t seem to have a set location. I’d be willing to travel if it seems worthwhile!
Admittedly, for the amount of money I have spent/anticipate spending, I should do more with the dolls I have. BUT, I’m really not sure what people do with a seventeen inch doll. And I was just thinking that there are certain dolls I don’t actually want/value in my collection. Are they play-line dolls that aren’t the most expensive? Yes. Do I want to replace them with expensive dolls? Yes. But, I feel like a 200+ doll can’t just stand around collecting dust.
This may be an uncommon doll, but I was wondering if anyone had one they loved? MH’s version is understandable, but I’m hoping people might share other versions.

Thank you to all who helped me subdue my irrational fear of mold in some of my in need-of-a-bath dolls!
Second, LOOK AT WHAT I GOT! I’m so excited, because this was the push I needed to wash those dolls, since I had to wash these, and now I get to dress (some of) them up! I didn’t think it was as much when I saw the original listing, but in person I could see the large amount of clothes in there!
I’m excited and it makes me appreciate the dolls I have. Also, it makes me want to do at least the reroots I’ve been thinking about. I thought chopping their hair off would push me, but those hair prices stopped me. Lol. Here are some of my favorite pieces thus far!
Hopefully, this is an overreaction, but I just shook some more water out of them. It’s been some hours, and I imagine it’ll be at least several more before they’re completely dry, but what do we think are the chances they’ll get moldy?

I’m hesitating to purchase the one day ticket for doll con that’s still available. I wasn’t all that familiar with the con, and then I didn’t pay enough attention to time zone differences, and most of the tickets sold out fast. I don’t know if I want to travel across the country for something that may be somewhat disappointing.
Maybe I’m putting too much on one con, but it seems like there are a lot of BJD sellers going-maybe even Dust Bunny Dolls. And I think that tends to attract a crowd that is closer to my age. And I really want to connect with people irl over the hobby, but a lot of the FB groups seem to be largely online only. And I’m not that brave about just sharing my collection. So, what do you all think? Are you going? Are you a part of real life doll groups? Could there be other activities outside of the con that provides more opportunity to connect with fellow doll lovers?
Maybe I should try to buy a Sunday ticket, but I worry that I can’t justify going across the country for a one day event like that. Maybe this is my perfectionism getting in the way, but I really wanted to go to a doll event that wasn’t almost entirely filled with older collectors. And I love the intergenerational connections, but would like to be able to connect more with people my age who share this hobby. Lots of stuff seems to just be online, and the in person groups-at least the one I saw on FB near me- is predominantly older folks. I don’t exactly feel comfortable advertising in my interest in dolls to everyone, so I was hoping an established group/event might help. Idk… maybe I was putting too much on this con.

I’m a generally under motivated beginner. I have a dress I bought from the thrift that I had been attempting to alter, but what kept me going was a deadline that has since passed. It was going to be a costume for a bug themed brunch. Now I’ve figured out a new use for it, new deadline too, and I want to add a GIGANTIC and rounded bow! I want to make them seem like wings, and have really long tails/ends. I just don’t know how to do it! I also had this idea of maybe adding it to a under-bust corset with boning? Idk. I’m not trying to be all that realistic, but I do wanna try! Any ideas? Suggestions? Patterns? Here’s a picture!
Wasn’t there an anniversary recently? Do we not see the value in recreating those cool dolls again? I wish I could have her, and then I would stop pining after, what would still feel like settling, the MH version.
For years, I had seen so many talented artists trying to create their own Emily from The Corpse Bride, so I was thrilled when they decided to finally make her! Unfortunately, I too was somewhat disappointed with the turn out. The doll itself is gorgeous to me, but the outfit… and for like 70-80 dollars?!
And then I saw the Edward doll… I’m not that big of a Edward Scissor Hands fan, but I do think she’s adorable. And I’m pretty certain she wouldn’t have sold out had it not been for resellers! Anyways, I write all this to ask if we think it’s worth it to spend (assuming I get lucky now) 70-80 for each doll despite not feeling like they’re worth all that much. They’re absolutely adorable though!🥀
I saw one at Toys R Us some years back, it was in a box. It was soft, fluffy, and seemed somewhat weighted. Anyone know which one that is? Do you have one? Did you have one? What do you think of it?
I’m really curious about them, and I definitely would love some more variety in 1/6 scale dolls. Having never had one, they seem fancy and cool! I feel like this might be a nice middle ground between like Jem and the Holograms Royal Subjects’ doll and a BJD. Thoughts?

I noticed her price dropped, but I’m wondering if people think it might go down even more? I don’t usually collect LE Disney, or any LE, dolls, but I have loved Bo Peep forever, and I want to get one doll for the best price.
Is it too soon to try to buy Jade and Sasha for a low price? One of my favorite Ebay stores called “Bullseyedeals” is selling the stylin line that came out a while ago, but they’re not selling the this line yet, so I imagine it hasn’t been long enough. I also ***do not*** want to buy from directly from Target, Walmart, or Amazon as much as possible.
