How do Heapheastus' kids enchant their weapons/creations?

I'm asking bit seems like they're able to create magic weapons at least to some degree but they themselves aren't actually seen using magic overtly. Even Hephaestus is known to make magic weapons in myth but whenever he displays his domain it's usually in the form of mechanical creations.

Can Hephaestus' kids in cannon use magic?

If they can't use magic how do they enchant their weapons?

I'm looking for any DXD fanfics similar to this one

Just found this new fic right here. It's honestly really good! Very well written (so no spelling mistakes or terrible grammar, ect.) It's essentially an SI who's isekai'ed into DXD and founds the Burial Agency(an exorcist organization from Fate for those unfamiliar). There are minor multi-cross elements but nothing that requires any familiarity with the source material. He has a gacha system centered around religion so he's constantly getting items and abilities from other settings. There's also Alexander Anderson from hellsing ultimate (but honestly I read all of his lines in my head with his abridged voice XD). He's also not a worshiper but has to pretend like he is to keep receiving points. It's still relatively new and has been receiving updates.

I've had a blast reading this fic and I wanted to look for something similar. Not in terms of the gacha system but more along the lines of regular dude becomes a member of the church or fics with the church as it's main focus.

How would the Wizarding world stop inflation via gold?

I'm thinking of writing a fan fiction where alchemy plays a prominent role. I'm drawing a lot of inspiration from Fullmetal Alchemist and TYPE-MOON.

I came across this problem when I was explaining the differences between transfiguration and alchemy using gold as an example.

So in order to explain my current dilemma I need to provide context. One of the key differences between transfiguration and alchemy lies within concepts. Transfiguration is essentially a costume or mask and while the spell can be woven strongly or tightly enough to be permanent if left alone it's ultimately a change that can be dispelled nor does it change the identity of the subject on a conceptual level.

Alchemy on the other hand is a conceptual change in the subject's "identity". For example if one were to transfigure a piece of lead into gold, it may look feel and act as gold, it's still at the core of it's being a piece of lead. However with alchemy the change occurs on a conceptual level thus when the lead is transmuted into gold it simply becomes gold. No form of counter spell or disillusionment can reverse the change. And while I wouldn't call the change "permanent" as there is nothing stopping one from transmuting the gold back into lead, it may as well be.

Here is where the dilemma comes in because gold whether magically minted or otherwise is still inherently valuable so there's nothing stopping people from transmuting and selling gold, thus causing inflation to the economy.

I know one solution from a narrative standpoint would be to simply make the process too difficult or impractical. However if alchemy couldn't do something as simple as transmuting gold that would undermine the very reason for making alchemy a prominent part of the story.

Hence why I'm trying to write an in world solution, so how would the Wizarding world handle this dilemma?

Im looking for RWBY fanfics where Penny is the main love interest.

I haven't come across Penny very often in the RWBY fanfics that I've read, but I came across one where during her introduction to the cast the male MC calls her sweetheart in an off hand comment and her reaction was just hilarious and adorable. She just takes that comment and runs with it, automatically assumes he's asking her out, excited, she immediately accepts without letting the MC clear up the misunderstanding and rushes off to inform her father leaving the MC to dread the inevitable shitshow coming his way. So I'm chasing this new found high. I'm looking for an M/F pairing.

I read on a bunch of different platforms so please feel free to recommend fics from anywhere

Anyone know of any fanfics that use Fullmetal Alchemist power system?

I know there aren't many FMA fics out there. Not that I don't understand why. The events of the story are so delicately intertwined and perfectly self contained that any alterations or additions feel not only unnecessary but unwelcome and it's completely understandable as FMA is a masterpiece of storytelling. However I find FMA's power system fascinating and intriguing and I want to see how such abilities would interact in different settings.

I know there are a plethora of fics where the MC of one story or even an OC or SI awakens a power from another setting and goes about their journey with these new foreign abilities. Does anyone know of any where said character uses alchemy from Fullmetal Alchemist?

Does anyone know of any Mecha Anime fanfiction told from a pilot's perspective?

So I'm a big fan of all kinds of mecha anime from Gundam and it's various spin offs to series like Code Geass or Aldnoah Zero. However it seems that of the fanfics I've read many tend to lean heavily towards the political or strategic aspects of the setting. While I understand and appreciate that such themes are intrinsic to the settings, I'm looking for stories with decent length that are also more action oriented. Im not against OCs or SIs.

I read on a bunch of different platforms, so feel free to send me recommendations from wherever.

How good is the junk archetype?

I remember I used to have a junk deck when it first came out but I didn't really do much to improve or add to what came in the structure deck. I'd love to hear from people who have more experience with the archetype. Is it competitive? How far would I realistically get in ranked matches? What's the ease of use?

[PJO] What if Sally found a better husband first?

If Gabe was never in the picture and Sally found a good husband would Montauk still be a significant part of Sally's and Percy's lives? I know in book 4 after Paul and Sally got together the family was still seen vacationing in Montauk, but at that point Montauk was already cemented as a place of sentimental and emotional significance.

In the proposed hypothetical it's a clean slate, the only significance that Montauk would have is being the place where Sally met Poseidon. Without Gabe to inflict his brand of misery and suffering, Montauk wouldn't serve as the same bastion of comfort and safety it was in canon. From the start Percy would have had a caring and attentive father and Sally would have a loving and supportive husband.

I could see it still being a birthday destination for the family so Poseidon can still discreetly check in on Percy but I feel like it would be closer to visitation between divorced parents than anything else.

What are your thoughts?

Edit: Gabe was chosen because of his mortal smell and how it was able to mask Percy's scent. It was never really specified why or how he has such a strong scent i'm going to assume that it's completely unrelated to him being a shit human being. So in this case we can assume that this character has the same level of smell but is the complete opposite of a human shit stain.

I'm considering a Bleach/ PJO crossover one shot/short story but I want to clarify the hierarchy.

Where would the Shinigami place relative to the Greek supernatural hierarchy? I want to clarify that I'll be discounting children of the Big Three as they seem to be exceptions to the rule rather than the standard.

My thoughts are this; the average Shinigami are on the level of the average nameless Demigod.

Senior officers (3rd - 10th seats) would be equal to the camp counselors/ centurions

Lieutenant and low tier Captains(lookin at you Rõjūrō and Kensei) would likely be on par with minor gods. To be fair, both seem to vary wildly in strength

Top tier captains like Aizen or Mr "Reduce-All-Creation-to-Ash" Yamamoto are the very Least low level Olympian.

What are your thoughts? I'd appreciate listening to any insights or thoughts to the contrary.

I'm trying to write a Bleach/Worm crossover and I need help putting things in perspective

I know there probably isn't a lot of overlap between the two fandoms but this is the best place I could think of to ask my questions.

I had this idea for Bleach/ Worm crossover that wouldn't leave me alone. However I haven't gotten around to actually reading Worm yet so I don't know much about Endbringers aside from the initial three and what's commonly depicted in fanfiction. I wanted to know where endbringers would place on a threat rating in relation to Hollows from Bleach. I'm using Hollows as reference because in my opinion their faction is probably the most consistent in terms of power scaling and it'd be easier to put things in perspective.

So the Hollow's hierarchy from weakest to strongest looks something like this.

Hollow

Gillian

Adjuchas

Vasto Lorde

Arrancar

Espada

My best guess is that in terms of purely physical stats endbringers land somewhere between Adjuchas or Vasto Lorde. But when it comes down to their more esoteric abilities from what I can tell it's a matter of scale vs potency. For example, while a sledgehammer can break bone and rupture organs a bullet can punch clean through a body. In all likelihood the endbringers have the edge in terms of AOE with leviathan taking the cake, but in terms of potency I don't think they would place further than a Vasto Lorde. But like I said I don't know much about canon endbringers so if anyone has information to the contrary I'd appreciate a chance to discuss it.

I've got a character who wants to develop things like cybernetics, prosthetics and other miscellaneous things that fall under the umbrella of mechanical engineering. He's currently looking for a place to setup shop so to speak, and I'm assuming one can't just rent out space in a random office building and call it a day. So what would a proper lab location and setup look like?

I've only read a handful of HP fanfics but of the ones I've read, I particularly like the ones that still follow the overarching plot of the series but still branches off in distinct and notable ways, or how some simply allow the main story to happen in the background while still occasionally interacting with the main plot. I think this allows the author more creative freedom.

I personally prefer stories that focus more on action and story progression over interpersonal relationships. That's not to say I don't want any romance or character drama, just that I prefer it not be the main focus of the story.

I also prefer that the main character remains reasonably strong/competent while not encroaching on Mary/Gary Sue territory. Aside from those key things I'm also partial to male MCs (SI and OCs welcome).

While I'm not opposed to crossover elements, like taking inspiration from other magic systems or introducing minor characters from other series I'm not looking for full blown crossovers at the moment. Also no gamer systems please, nothing against them but I just don't think it fits well with the setting.

I also read on SB and QQ in addition to FFN and AO3 in case anyone has recommendations from those sites as well.
