Whats the best way to find good affiliates for a SaaS?

Hey everyone,

I’ve recently set up an affiliate program for my SaaS and I’m trying to figure out how to actually grow it with the right partners.

Quick context: the product helps businesses grow their presence on Google and AI search by automatically generating and publishing high-quality SEO articles in their brand voice.

We’re offering 30% recurring commission per customer, and I’m mainly looking for affiliates in the SEO / content / SaaS / marketing space who can bring in real, long-term users.

I’m trying to understand:

  • What’s actually the best way to find solid affiliates beyond the usual stuff (YouTube, X, cold outreach)?
  • What channels or approaches have worked best for you in practice?
  • How do you usually tell early on if someone is actually going to be a good partner vs. just signing up and disappearing?

Would also really appreciate any tips on how to make this easier to scale, or if anyone here knows good places / communities / people that could be a fit or even thinks this could be relevant for them, feel free to reach out.

Thanks in advance :)

Does anyone else get a random burst of energy and focus right before bed?

i know there are probably a lot of night owls out there, but I’ve always been curious how common this actually is.

Instead of feeling ready to sleep at night, I suddenly get this weird burst of energy and motivation right around 11 PM or midnight. It’s like my brain finally wakes up and decides now is the time to think clearly, get things done, or start new ideas.

Sometimes I’ll just sit down for “a few minutes” and suddenly realize a couple of hours have passed because I got so into whatever I was doing.

The frustrating part is that it usually happens exactly when I should be going to sleep because I have to wake up early the next morning.

So it turns into this daily internal debate:
“Be responsible and go to bed,”
or
“you’re zone in, don’t waste it.”

Spoiler: I rarely win the “go to bed” argument.

Anyway, just curious if anyone else deals with this kind of “second wind” at the worst possible time.

What feels more premium today: pill buttons or standard rounded buttons?

Hey everyone,

A friend and I got into a surprisingly long debate about button design 😅

I think fully rounded pill buttons feel more modern and premium. He thinks buttons should keep a bit less rounding and a more traditional shape.

I know it's a small detail, but I'm curious what people think is considered more standard and premium today.

Which do you prefer?

  • Fully rounded pill buttons
  • Slightly rounded buttons with less radius

Would love to hear your thoughts.

And thanks for helping settle this very important argument 😄

Preparing for Product Hunt - already soft-launched, now looking for practical advice

Hey everyone,

I soft-launched my SaaS about a week ago and already started getting some users in.

Now I’m preparing for a Product Hunt launch and trying to do it properly instead of just posting and hoping for the best.

I’ve seen some launches get a huge number of upvotes very quickly, and I’m trying to understand what actually drives that in a real, practical way.

Would really appreciate some advice on things like:

  • Where do you actually find early supporters before launch?
  • How do people realistically get those first wave of upvotes?
  • What channels worked best for you (Reddit, Twitter, communities, etc.)?
  • Any specific things you would do differently if you were preparing again?

I’m mainly looking for practical, actionable tips rather than general advice.

Thanks in advance 🙏

If you could prepare for a Product Hunt launch all over again, what would you do differently?

I'm getting ready for a Product Hunt launch and trying to approach it as thoughtfully as possible rather than just showing up on launch day and hoping for the best.

I've been reading guides, watching videos, and looking through previous launches, but I'm finding a lot of conflicting advice.

Some people say to spend weeks building an audience beforehand.

Others say the most important thing is getting supporters lined up for the first few hours.

Others say Product Hunt itself doesn't matter nearly as much as what you do before and after launch day.

For those of you who have launched before:

  • What preparation ended up being the most valuable?
  • What did you spend time on that turned out not to matter?
  • How far in advance did you start preparing?
  • How did you get people to actually show up and support the launch?
  • What mistakes would you avoid if you had to do it again?

Would love to learn from people who've already been through the process and avoid some beginner mistakes.
