Anybody remember the professional penny stock traders from 15 years ago? AMZN, MSFT and others today.
When retail short term trading became accessible to average people the get rich quick scheme was to waste millions of hours (and dollars) trying to guess the next big one, penny stock. The smart traders bypassed that step. They wouldn't guess. They would wait until the next one popped then wait for exhaustion signs of the inevitable crash. And short it. I remembered.
AMZN is the exact same classic setup they were using. It's not a penny stock it's a mega cap. People believe this is normal market behavior. It's not. It won't last forever. But it might be surprising how long it goes on for.
I wouldn't have never been able to guess AMZN would go up 27% in 3 days. But the second part was easy to figure out. The lesson is remember the old lessons.
Here's the MSFT penny stock. Anybody see a pattern?
