Great news! Leno’s Law is in its final read through before going to Governor’s desk to be signed into law. I signed up for updates and this is what I got this morning. Too bad we have to wait until 2028 though.

Well, I received my replacement grill brush today. I suppose this fulfills the recall obligation, but it sure is useless.

So I made a huge mistake. I bought a really nice 1978 Super Beetle convertible last week. I bought it from a dealer in Florida and I live in California. I admit I did not do my due diligence and have discovered the engine has been replaced with a nicely built 1915cc engine. It runs excellent, problem is it won’t pass our stringent smog laws because the original emission control devices are missing. I am wondering if anyone out there has run into this issue and found away to get it registered. I am adding a photo of this beautiful car.

All in all it was a great show. Ian McCulloch voice is definitely not what it used to be, as evidenced by letting the audience handle some of the singing. Good setlist though. Started with the early stuff, which rocked. Here’s a mediocre sample:
