Still not sold on the G45’s looks, but I love driving it

I’ve had my 2026 X3 (B48) for a few months now, and I still haven’t warmed up to how it looks. I’m not a big fan of the interior either.

But boy, do I love how it drives. This is my first BMW, and it feels like I’m gliding. The driving dynamics are a joy, the transmission is just so smooth. and I love the steering; thats probably my favorite thing about the car.

When I’m behind the wheel, I basically give myself tunnel vision and focus on how well it drives so I don’t think about the looks. But whenever I see another G45 drive by… God, I really don’t like how it looks at all lol.

What are your favorite features on your X3?

For me, it’s definitely driving assistance pro. I would’ve loved to have highway assistant, but even the hands-on system is really good.

The head-up display is a good one. Once you get used to having it, it’s hard to go back.

I also really like how smooth the engine and transmission are together. The power delivery and shifts feel almost seamless in normal driving.

What features do you guys like the most?

Parking assistant plus vs professional

I recently bought a 2026 X3 with the premium package and DAPP. I believe parking assistant plus comes with ZPP.

I've already been able to use the automatic parking feature by pressing the P button on the center dash. I haven't tried parallel parking yet.

I'm trying to understand what parking assistant professional adds over the plus.

Is the main difference remote parking via the app, or are there other significant features that I'm missing?

I see an option in the BMW store for a one-time/lifetime $150 purchase of park assistant professional. For those who have used both, is it worth the $150?

2026 X3: Do I need to carry the physical key?

I got a 2026 BMW X3 with my iphone and apple watch linked to the BMW digital key.

If I have my iphone and watch with me, is there any reason I still need to carry the physical key fob or key card?

Can I safely leave both at home?

Why is the 2024 X3 still so expensive compared to the 2026?

I’m looking at CPO BMW X3 options (regular xdrive30 and not M) and noticed something interesting.

I found a 2024 X3 with driver assistance pro, premium package at 18K miles for $43500. I am able to get ones without ZDY and higher miles for $39-40K. I’ve also found several 2026 CPO X3s with around 8k miles for $47–48K. one with ZDY + ZPP for about $49K.

So we’re talking about only a ~$4–5K difference between a two-year-old X3 with more than twice the miles and a current-generation X3.

It seems like the previous-generation X3 is holding its value surprisingly well compared to the new one.

Is the 2024 model simply overpriced, or are the values of the new-generation X3s falling like a rock?

Luxury SUV $55K: BMW X3 vs Merc GLC 350e vs Porsche Macan

I'm looking for a luxury SUV in the $50–60k range, ideally closer to $50k, and have narrowed it down to:

  • 2026 BMW X3 with Driving assistance pro; 258 hp, 295 lb-ft, mild hybrid; ~$53k after a 10% discount (plus tax and fees)
  • 2025 Mercedes GLC 350e CPO w/ Active distance assist DISTRONIC + AMG Line; 313 hp, 406 lb-ft, plug in hybrid; ~$52k (plus tax and fees)
  • 2024 Porsche Macan CPO with adaptive cruise; 261 hp, 295 lb-ft; ~$50–52k (plus tax and fees)

My priorities are driving dynamics, fuel economy, reliability, and good driver-assistance features.

The BMW seems like the best overall fit, while the Mercedes has the advantage of being a PHEV. However, I’ll mostly be using public charging, so may be that cancels it out. I also assume the Porsche will have the highest maintenance costs.

Which would you pick, and why? Any reliability or ownership considerations I’m missing?

Is a 2026 BMW X3 CPO with 5k miles for $51k a good deal?

I found a 2026 BMW X3 CPO with around 5,000 miles listed at $51k. It has the Harman Kardon surround sound system, premium package and driving assistance pro package.

The car has a clean Carfax and is a one-owner former lease vehicle I think.

Does this seem like a good deal, or is there anything I should look out for with a lightly used certified X3?

Is a 2025 Audi Q5 Prestige CPO with 8000 miles for $49k a good deal?

I test drove it today, and I really liked it. it felt comfortable, quiet.

My main hesitation is long-term reliability, especially with all the tech and electronic features in the Prestige. Has anyone owned one long enough to comment on how reliable the tech is? Any common issues or expensive repairs I should be aware of?

There is a 3 year warranty plus additional 1 year CPO warranty.

does $49k seem like a fair price for a 2025 with 8000 miles and 4 year warranty?
