A little update / thank you.

I posted Subeo here recently as an AI subtitle tool and got a lot of blunt but useful feedback from editors.

The main thing I learned was that “AI captions” is too generic. Editors were much more interested in the annoying cleanup parts:

- messy SRT files

- weird sentence splits

- timing overlaps

- invalid start/end times

- captions staying too long

- quick SRT export without opening a full timeline

So I rebuilt the direction around that.

The newer version now focuses more on subtitle/SRT cleanup:

- split captions on sentence punctuation

- repair timing overlaps / invalid timestamps

- safer delete with undo

- SRT import and cleaned SRT export

- captioned MP4 export

- mobile preview/styling fixes

- less “AI magic”, more practical cleanup workflow

It’s still tiny, but Subeo has now passed about $140 in total revenue in its first month. That is not enough to prove anything big, but it was enough to make me take the feedback more seriously and keep improving it instead of treating it like a random side project.

I’m still very early, but the feedback genuinely changed the product direction.

If anyone here works with captions/SRTs and wants to try it with a real messy file, I’d love honest feedback. I’m happy to give 1 month Starter for useful feedback.

Main question:

Would this save you time in your actual caption workflow, or would you still rather stay fully inside Premiere/Resolve/CapCut?

I’m not trying to replace Premiere/Resolve/CapCut.

I built Subeo for the smaller annoying job: upload a video, clean/split subtitles, fix timing issues, then export SRT or captioned MP4 without opening a full editor.

Video editors gave feedback, so I added:

- split subtitles on punctuation

- undo after deleting lines

- timing repair for overlaps / invalid timestamps

- cleaner SRT export flow

If you work with captions for Shorts/Reels/TikToks/YouTube, I’d love feedback.

I can give 1 month Starter to people who test it and tell me what still feels annoying.

I posted an early version of Subeo, a small web tool for quick subtitle/SRT cleanup, and video editors gave very specific feedback.

I shipped the main fixes:

- split subtitles on sentence punctuation

- safer delete with undo

- timing repair for overlaps / invalid start-end times

- cleaner SRT + captioned MP4 workflow

- less “AI magic” positioning, more practical subtitle cleanup

I’m looking for a few people who work with captions/SRTs to test the updated flow and tell me where it still feels annoying.

Happy to give 1 month Starter to anyone who gives useful feedback.

I posted an early version of Subeo, a small web tool for quick subtitle/SRT cleanup, and video editors gave very specific feedback.

The main lesson was: editors don’t care about “AI magic” as much as fixing annoying subtitle issues fast.

So I rebuilt the flow around practical cleanup:

- split subtitles on sentence punctuation

- safer delete with undo

- timing repair for overlaps / invalid start-end times

- cleaner SRT export

- captioned MP4 export when you need a ready-to-post file

- clearer positioning around subtitle cleanup, not just AI generation

I’m looking for people who work with captions/SRTs to test it with one messy real file.

If you have an ugly SRT or video with bad sentence breaks, weird timing, overlaps, or captions you’d normally clean inside an editor, I’d love to know whether Subeo actually saves time versus your normal workflow.

Hey everyone,

I’m building Subeo, a small AI subtitle/SRT tool for video editors and creators.

The problem I’m trying to solve is pretty specific:

sometimes you don’t want to open Premiere, Resolve, CapCut, or a full timeline editor just to generate subtitles or export an SRT file.

The intended workflow is:

upload video → generate subtitles → make quick edits → export SRT or captioned MP4.

I’m not trying to claim this replaces a full editor. It obviously doesn’t. I’m trying to understand if this smaller workflow is actually useful for editors who just need subtitles fast.

I’d love honest feedback on:

- Is this a real pain in your workflow?

- Would you ever leave your editor just to generate SRT/captions faster?

- What would make this useless for you?

- What would make it worth using?

Link: https://subeo.online

Roast it if needed. I’m mainly trying to learn what real editors would actually use.

You upload the video, fix the subtitle text in a cleaner editor, then export SRT or MP4.

I made it mostly for editors working on client videos, reels, shorts, podcasts, that kind of stuff.

Not trying to hard sell this, I’m genuinely looking for feedback from people who actually edit:
would this fit your workflow, or would you still rather do everything inside your editor?

If links are okay here:
