Hey y'all, sorry if this was covered elsewhere but I couldn't find an answer. I've been playing a GBA game via GBARunner on a DSi XL. I wanna use those saves on open_GBA_firm but so far I've had no success. Is there any way I can use these saves with open_GBA_firm?

Update: Found a solution!

1. Make sure the sav file is the same exact name as the ROM.
2. Use this tool to create a "fixed" save file - https://exelotl.github.io/gba-eeprom-save-fix/
3. Put the "fixed" save file in /3ds/open_agb_firm/saves

Hey friends, I just got a DSi XL and I love it. I've been playing GBA games on the 3DS via Virtual Console, but they look sharper on the DSi. I've read the 3DS is the more stable place to play GBA games, though, but I'm kinda liking the D-Pad on the DSi more.

So, in your honest opinion, what's the better way to play GBA games? Thank you.

Edit: I just sourced a DS Lite y'all! Yay! Can't wait to play with it.

Hey friends, question. Right now I play GBA games on my 2DS and 3DS via Virtual Console injections. I'm then able to save these via Checkpoint.

However, I'm about to get a DSi XL and wanna play GBA games on that as well. Is it possible to take Checkpoint saves and move them to GBA ROMs that aren't VC injects, just basic ROMs?

OMG y'all I am so excited. I started in the family with an original 3DS XL, and have never owned a member of the original DS line, so I'm thrilled to have sourced a really nice DSi XL for $50! I can't wait to mod it and play it with all of the stuff listed here. Yay!!
