Are you investing more than 50%? How close to retirement are you? I'm recently retired and wondering how much I should risk for dividend income.

I've had my colostomy for over 2 years now after my colon ruptured from diverticulitis. I was told by two surgeons that they wouldn't perform a reversal until I lost weight. So I've been working on it and have lost a lot of weight. I'm sure not enough yet though. But, I also have a huge parastomal hernia which makes me look 10 to 15 pounds heavier than I really am. I hate it. I'd look so much better if both the hernia and colostomy were gone. I'm debating whether or not to start pushing my surgeon to proceed with the reversal and hernia repair even though I know it's risky when overweight. My BMI is about 41. How bad of a decision is this? I just want to get it over with and not wait another year until I lose more weight. I hate walking around with this huge bulge in my belly. I do wear a hernia belt sometimes and it kinda reduces the size of the bulge but it's still there and still annoying (although it's generally not too painful and not causing any blockages). Can anyone relate to this? What do you think?

I’m 61 and was recently laid off from IT management after 30 years when my position was eliminated. Honestly, I was kinda glad because I needed a break. Health issues had made working and commuting difficult. However, financially I really need to work but I just don’t have it in me anymore. Besides my chances of getting another job at my age are pretty low. Anyone else relate? Any suggestions or recommendations?

I’m looking for a retirement community in New Jersey or Pennsylvania that allows a fence or dog run in the backyard. Does this even exist? I know some have a small dog park and/or walking trails. I'm going back into the job market and I'm a bit worried. I've had my colostomy for about 2 years. Normally the bag is covered with either a stealth belt or just a bag cover. Either way there is still a noticeable bulge. How do most of you handle this during the interview process? Should I bring it up first or wait until they ask? What if they don't ask?

I was laid off after working at the same company for almost 30 years after my role was eliminated. So, I'm struggling with how to refer to myself - as Retired or Unemployed?

After 30 years at the same company I've amassed a fair bit of specialized knowledge. I expect my former coworkers to be reaching out asking questions. Not sure what I should ask for as compensation.

I'm 5+ years post TT due to PTC. I've been in senior management and was always an independent, quick thinking take charge kind of person. But now I just don't seem to be that same person. It's difficult to focus and concentrate. I just don't have the work ethic I once had. Luckily I'm near retirement. I just can't tell if I feel like this due to lack of a thyroid or just normal aging. Anyone else relate?

Looking for the name of a movie from the 60’s or 70’s that was shown in class in grade school. It was wildly popular in school but every time I mention it no one has heard of it. It was a red sneaker that moved on its own and went on various adventures. The best part was when the teacher would put the film projector in reverse and we would watch the movie replay in reverse. Any ideas?

Does 25mg work substantially better for anyone? The 1.5 and 4mg worked well but not the 9mg. In fact I’m not sure I lost anything these past 3 weeks while on the 9mg. I’m wondering if it’s worth getting the 25mg next.
