Rabies OCD or Possible Transmission?

I have read the FAQ.

A few days ago, I was on a walk around dusk time, the sun was going down and leaving a purple hue. It was around 76 degrees with a really light breeze and like 67% humidity. As I was walking, I was distracted on my phone and I heard some rapid flying or buzzing near my ear, next thing I know something like a really really heavy insect crashed into my ear and then my shoulder. I didn't look back and I'm not sure it flew away. I have some rabies OCD, and I had a prior exposure, that day was my final shot. I called Public Health and they said my vaccine should still protect me.

My anxiety begins when I get home. I finished my 25 minute walk and I was touching the ear throughout the walk. I'm pretty sure I didn't feel any fluid, but I did notice a minor scratch in the mirror. When I got home, my little sisters and mother touched my ear. Is there any way that a rabid bat did fly on me and left saliva that survived my 25 minute walk and could have been transmitted to my family? I'm just so anxious and I need confirm or deny this.

Also I believe my mom was mid meal when I asked her to check it if that influences anything.

I had seen bats in the area prior to this.

Podcast To Help Explain Civil Rights & Policies

Hi guys. I'm a child of African immigrants myself, and I have seen how hard it is for them to navigate political, social, and legal policies. I often had to do paperwork at a young age, and navigate/translate in social settings. This is a real disparity and something needs to be done.

That's why I created my podcast, Modern Justice. Through it, I break down complex legal, social, and political policies and acts. I also examine new changes in the legal system, and issues that recent immigrants may face, and then I offer accessible and effective resources. I have episodes breaking down systemic racism and school disparity, notario fraud, workplace and housing scams, and explaining recent U.S. immigration changes in recent terms. I also interview public, legal, and political officials to have them explain local government and address topics facing immigrants.

If your interested and feel that this can help you or your parents navigate the U.S. system please listen to Modern Justice using this link: https://open.spotify.com/show/6s81j4flIaJvD7Ubt8QMVA?si=2a9d1a6c1fe843ee

Most episodes are about 10-15 minutes long, but some interviews can go up to 30 minutes because of the multitude of info they contain. You can play it as background noise! Thank you.

Rabies Possible Exposure

I have read the FAQ.

Last night at dusk (the sun was setting, barely visible), I was walking around my city in Lynn and I was really focused on my phone. I heard some buzzing and something like a pretty heavy insect crashed into my ear, fell on my shoulder, and flew away but I'm not sure about that part. I had an hour of my walk left so I kept going. I examined it when I got home and there was something like a really minor scratch on my ear(no fluid) and a scabbed over circle on my shoulder where it landed.

Yesterday was also the day I received the final dose of my rabies PEP series (4 shots), but I live in the U.S. where the CDC dictates that every new exposure needs a booster. I just want to know if this was an exposure and what my next steps should be. I'm pretty anxious. Thanks.

Edit: I believe I might have seen bats around the area this happened, I'm not sure, but I believe I did see a group of bats flying together a few days before.

How Do I Get More Viewers?

Hi, I just wanted to ask how I can get more views on my podcast. I'm a young adult running a know-your-rights/legal understanding podcast, but I'm struggling to get any views. I have about 12 episodes, I have interviewed one of my councilors at-large for my city, and I have a dedicated instagram. I was pretty consistent, but I kind of fell off over the summer, but I do post atleast one episode per month. Any advice is much appericated. I have been at it since November and there's been almost no change.

Questioning Doctor's Approach to Vaccine

LONG STORY SHORT: 12 weeks ago, a stray dog licked my open blisters in Maine. The blisters were on my fingers and the part that attaches them to my hand, they are healed with no mark left now. I rubbed my hands together and forgot about it. A few days ago I went to the ER and got the rabies vaccine because I was anxious; the vaccine was injected into my arm while the RIG was injected into my thighs. Online, it says that it should be injected into your blister site (it healed completely now), but the RIG was injected into my thighs only. Was the ER wrong?

(sorry this might just be anxiety but I was wondering)

I have read the FAQ.

Discharge in cat eyes.

Are tiny bits yellow-ish green eye boogers (not totally dried) in the inner corners of your cats eye's ok? Idk if thats something I should watch out for or if it's normal. I noticed it a few weeks ago but it cleared up quick, so I wasn't too worried. He's also a bit scared so he wont let me clean it.

Species: cat (Indoor)

Age: 8

Sex/Neuter Status: Male/Neutered

Breed: American Short hair

Body Weight: not sure, (probably 8-9 pounds)

History: No history of anything like this

Clinical Signs: Eye discharge

Location: Northeast, United States

Rabies Vax Is Lowkey Easy

I have read the FAQ.

About 2 months and a few weeks ago I was in maine, and approached this stray dog. I had open blisters on my hand which the dog licked. My doctors said that it was really low risk and I didn't even need the vax, but I spoke with a specialist who said "better safe than sorry." I got my first vax yesterday (3 shots) and it was lowkey easy. I know I have to come 3 more times, but I don't understand why doctors frame the rabies vaccine as this horrible time consuming thing. I'd rather get pricked and lose some hours than die from a virus I have a 0.001% chance of. I understand why it would suck if your uninsured or underinsured, but if you have insurance, rabies anxiety and a possible exposure, I recommend just getting the vax. Super easy and not that much pain.

Need Some Advice (Terrified of Rabies)

Ok so like two months ago in berwick maine, I approached this dog. It was alone just sitting peacefully in the grass, and when I went to pet it, it slobbered all over my hand. My hand had multiple open blisters, and now I'm terrified I could have contracted rabies through this exposure. The Maine CDC told me I don't need a vaccine, but I'm still super scared because I didn't know the dog.

What should I do? (This was near a lake, near the vanguah state park)

Terrified of Rabies

so my indoors cat got out for a few weeks ago and it was only for a few hours during the daytime. We got him back and he’s pretty normal but sometimes he meows for a while for no apparent reason, that’s the only big change I’ve seen. I chalked it up to me being home more and him wanting attention. recently I’ve noticed he ate a bit less food than usual at oncr, anyway during our rough play a few days ago, he bit and scratched my arm, but I didn’t start bleeding. I started reviewing bins medical stuff and he is about a year overdue for his rabies vac (got it in 2024, like 2 years ago) should I be scared and go get a rabies vaccine?
