Phone calendar app for someone who hates the idea?

I have carried some form of paper calendar for probably 15 years and finally ready to admit it isn't working as well as it should. Its great for writing down notes and non-urgent reminders, but doesn't do anything to remind me. I need less reasons to look at my phone, but finally realized a phone calendar is the easiest way of reminding myself of time based events. Right now im just using Google calendar but wondered what everyone recommends?

Breaking into a niche market, pricing when there is a large range of prices from a few people?

Im kind of embarrassed to just now discover this. Im trying to start selling a niche product where there are 6 US manufacturers making the same thing, 4 that specialize in it. I went to each of the 4 websites and selected a nearly identical product that they all make and saw it ranges from $41 to $115. I was picturing my prices at about $100, but now I'm not sure. I am not looking to compete on price, but at the same time realize I am the new person with no reputation backing my product up. Im just curious about opinions on this.

Report an inactive Facebook page so I can snag the vanity url?

I just got my LLC paperwork, still haven't submitted trademark paperwork on the business name and logo. There is an inactive Facebook page that is of the same name. They link a website url that is obviously inactive as I own the url. I messaged them asking if they would disable the page as they are inactive and I would like to use facebook.com/businessname, to which they didn't reply.

My question is, would it be a bad idea to report them to get the page shutdown at this point? It seems kind of shitty of me and I could use some advice before I proceed. If i already owned the trademark I would report them without issue.

Do you think cars drivers are really that big of a threat?

I put 18,000 miles on my bike last year and my two oh shit moments were 100% my fault. This year the closest call was me attempting to get in the center lane from the left while a car tried the same from the right. We both realized what was happening and shifted back into our original lanes. Basically a non issue.

Maybe Im in the minority, but it seems riding defensively is a big part of not having to react to a dangerous situation. I realize exit and entrance ramps are likely dangerous spots and position myself out of the way of potential last second lane changes. I dont stay alongside a car on the highway. I scan left and right even though my traffic light is green. Im trying to get into the habit of covering my brakes in any situation that may require fast reaction speed.

Honestly, I think most of the popular opinions of careless drivers are either overblown or too much blame being put on the driver.

My realization of what disability is

Every civilian job I've had, they have briefed me on the workplace dangers and then the rules addressing these dangers and it ends with "Follow all our rules as written and you will go home in the same condition you arrived."

The military basically says "Sometimes you can do everything perfectly and it still all goes to shit. But if you go home with your mind and body not working like when you joined, we will take care of you."

Obviously both scenarios are not aligned with reality, but i think you get the point.

Scaling back before spending startup money?

I am ready to start selling jewelry and supplies. It hit me today that rather than spreading myself over these 2 aspects, cut one off, and then reduce that. So my plan is to make supplies available in only 2 metals, and build up a solid stock of a few options.

Basically means rather than buy jewelry making equipment and expensive metals, I will put that money towards more raw materials. The longer I sit on this idea, the more accepting I become with it. I just was wondering what feedback anyone has on the idea.

VR&E self employment grant?

Who has received one in the past few years? Im thinking of scaling my plan back, but a lot of it is based on the grant amount. I am going to be dealing with a variety of metals and asking for a lot of all metals and getting them would be awesome, but im questioning if I would be better off asking for a lot of one or two metals and build up to larger stock amounts in the future? Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much info out there.

For welding this ring shut, would you recommend resistance or tig welding, and why? It is for jewelry purposes, so it has to look nice.

I know they gap is there, when it was closed 100%, I didn't think the photo was as obvious.

If your business was appropriately profitable, what would make you say "This isn't worth it."?

I had this idea earlier and my initial thought was stress. As for the source of stress, I think not feeling like I am accomplishing anything except for making money. Not feeling any emotional reaction from having customers wanting to purchase my product.

Steel for high end jewelry suggestions?

Imagine the kind of jewelry bikers and goths would wear. While most would be titanium and stainless steel, I want one chain with over the top quality. I remember from my steel mill days, acid etching MP35N was a nasty process and googling it, it seems like an appropriate steel for a complete excess of quality.

Any other suggestions?

How much extra over baseline do you pay for your website, and what do you pay for?

I haven't looked too much into shopify yet, but undstand there are a lot of apps that you can subscribe to for better functioning.

I was curious what everyone was paying (especially the $30 a month customers) over the base and what do you pay for?

Do jewelers buy many jump rings?

Im starting to setup a jump rings, primarily targeting chainmaillers. Do jewelers who don't make chainmaille jewelry have much of a demand for jump rings? Im wondering if traditional jewelers would be a potential target market?

Thank you.

Ohio, trademarking a logo, 7 variants

Im in process of setting up a small business and have a logo. It is the outline of an animal and the variations include company name, company initials, and slogan, and various combinations of those 3 things. Does this require 7 different trademark applications, or can all 7 fall under one application and trademark.

The animal is a very basic outline and Im pretty sure not unique enough to justify a copyright.

Tig welder for automatic welding?

Im wanting a tig welder for fusing steel rings shut (jewelry)that allows for upslope, weld and downslope and possibly pulse characteristics to all be programmed for time and power. Something once setup, the ring can be loaded in the fixture, push a button and let it work. Preferably something that can go down to a few amps. I realize if I need microtig it will probably require a second unit for the really small stuff, but I would pay extra for for something that can do thin 0.020" to 0.125".

Its a specialty die repair rod that is shipped in unsealed containers. Most of the time the flux doesn't fall into the puddle, but both situations are annoying as shit. Even the cracked flux makes the puddle act all goofy.

I welded 90% of this Friday. I came in today and was feeling pretty good about what I had done. Then layed this down. I weld these on a turntable and the corner beads are always the most difficult for me to control.

Weldmold 880 rod (die repair rod) 5/32", about 160 amps. Any advice?
