Tell me about soloprenuer e-commerce liability insurance

I am wondering how important this is for an LLC? I will be selling jewelry supplies through shopify and not even sure where to start my research what all is needed?

At one point I thought I was emotionally resilient, now I realize I never was.

I grew up in Rednecksville USA in the 90s, raised by a mother who probably never experienced good parenting herself, and went straight from high school to the infantry and to Iraq in 03. Got out for a bit, came back in and deployed again. All the pride and accomplishment from 03-04 evaporated. I came home in 09 and slowly spiraled out of control.

I've been doing a ton of reflecting and questioning and realized I haven't even been capable of assessing my emotions until the past 5 years or so. Its crazy to me that society tells young boys and men their feelings are irrelevant, when they are so incredibly relevant and powerful. I have come to realize there is a lot of control in being able to understand an emotion while experiencing it, versus just experiencing it.

Recovery does happen and I am so fortunate to be here for it. Thanks for attending my Ted talk.

Ink suggestions, want to wash off of cotton

Ive found ink pads advertising this, but no ink refills and am looking for suggestions. For context, I will be selling items bagged in cotton bags and stamped with the label, but I want the label to wash off in the laundry. So the customer can use it for whatever they want without a label.

Are lemon bars still a big part of bisexual lore?

The fact that I can flair this as lemon bars tell me yes. My daughter is bisexual and hasn't said anything yet to me, but I want lemon bar ingredients on standby anyways. What about cuffed pants and finger guns?

Calculator for customer to use?

There are literally thousands of calculators to go through to find what I am looking for. I am selling jump rings and an important peice of information is the aspect ratio. Inside diameter ÷ wire diameter = aspect ratio.

Ideally this would be just 2 input cells and an answer cell. Does such an app exist?

What was your point that justified quitting traditional employment?

My business isnt even off the ground yet, but I have been wondering about this. Originally I thought when I get to the point I can consistently pay myself as much as my regular job does. Then it hit me, why not when balancing them both becomes too difficult to be worth it? Which may or may not be before it can replace my job.

What was your transition point?

Interference fit and clearance fit on bearing?

From my understanding, when the bearing housing is stationary and the shaft spins, an interfeance fit between the shaft and bearing is recommended and a clearance fit between the bearing and housing is recommended.

For a 0.590" shaft I am being told 0.0005" interference is sufficient. What would the clearance between the bearing and housing be, with bearing OD being 1.25".

And I couldn't help but wonder if this is a situation where people go against the book and do a minor interference fit on both surfaces? I get the downsides to an interference fit on both sides, but at the same time, it seems like a clearance fit could also have its own drawbacks.

Bearings are angular contact ball bearings, max RPM is maybe 800, and it's for a slitting saw arbor.

Trying to setup up a nested (?) filter with product metafields

Question mark because it is the best term I can think of, not sure what the official term is.

I will be selling wire products and want to set up filters. With wire gauges, there is primarily American Wire Gauge (AWG) and Standard Wire Gauge (SWG), listed as 20 AWG, 12 SWG for example.

What I am picturing is a filter setup where initially all gauges are displayed, both AWG and SWG. But for someone who only wants to see AWG, they have that option.

So initially a display of A&SWG, which can be reduced to just AWG or SWG. Sorry for the rough description, I am learning as I go. Any assistance is appreciated.

Phone calendar app for someone who hates the idea?

I have carried some form of paper calendar for probably 15 years and finally ready to admit it isn't working as well as it should. Its great for writing down notes and non-urgent reminders, but doesn't do anything to remind me. I need less reasons to look at my phone, but finally realized a phone calendar is the easiest way of reminding myself of time based events. Right now im just using Google calendar but wondered what everyone recommends?

Breaking into a niche market, pricing when there is a large range of prices from a few people?

Im kind of embarrassed to just now discover this. Im trying to start selling a niche product where there are 6 US manufacturers making the same thing, 4 that specialize in it. I went to each of the 4 websites and selected a nearly identical product that they all make and saw it ranges from $41 to $115. I was picturing my prices at about $100, but now I'm not sure. I am not looking to compete on price, but at the same time realize I am the new person with no reputation backing my product up. Im just curious about opinions on this.

Report an inactive Facebook page so I can snag the vanity url?

I just got my LLC paperwork, still haven't submitted trademark paperwork on the business name and logo. There is an inactive Facebook page that is of the same name. They link a website url that is obviously inactive as I own the url. I messaged them asking if they would disable the page as they are inactive and I would like to use facebook.com/businessname, to which they didn't reply.

My question is, would it be a bad idea to report them to get the page shutdown at this point? It seems kind of shitty of me and I could use some advice before I proceed. If i already owned the trademark I would report them without issue.

Do you think cars drivers are really that big of a threat?

I put 18,000 miles on my bike last year and my two oh shit moments were 100% my fault. This year the closest call was me attempting to get in the center lane from the left while a car tried the same from the right. We both realized what was happening and shifted back into our original lanes. Basically a non issue.

Maybe Im in the minority, but it seems riding defensively is a big part of not having to react to a dangerous situation. I realize exit and entrance ramps are likely dangerous spots and position myself out of the way of potential last second lane changes. I dont stay alongside a car on the highway. I scan left and right even though my traffic light is green. Im trying to get into the habit of covering my brakes in any situation that may require fast reaction speed.

Honestly, I think most of the popular opinions of careless drivers are either overblown or too much blame being put on the driver.

My realization of what disability is

Every civilian job I've had, they have briefed me on the workplace dangers and then the rules addressing these dangers and it ends with "Follow all our rules as written and you will go home in the same condition you arrived."

The military basically says "Sometimes you can do everything perfectly and it still all goes to shit. But if you go home with your mind and body not working like when you joined, we will take care of you."

Obviously both scenarios are not aligned with reality, but i think you get the point.

Scaling back before spending startup money?

I am ready to start selling jewelry and supplies. It hit me today that rather than spreading myself over these 2 aspects, cut one off, and then reduce that. So my plan is to make supplies available in only 2 metals, and build up a solid stock of a few options.

Basically means rather than buy jewelry making equipment and expensive metals, I will put that money towards more raw materials. The longer I sit on this idea, the more accepting I become with it. I just was wondering what feedback anyone has on the idea.

VR&E self employment grant?

Who has received one in the past few years? Im thinking of scaling my plan back, but a lot of it is based on the grant amount. I am going to be dealing with a variety of metals and asking for a lot of all metals and getting them would be awesome, but im questioning if I would be better off asking for a lot of one or two metals and build up to larger stock amounts in the future? Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much info out there.

For welding this ring shut, would you recommend resistance or tig welding, and why? It is for jewelry purposes, so it has to look nice.

I know they gap is there, when it was closed 100%, I didn't think the photo was as obvious.

If your business was appropriately profitable, what would make you say "This isn't worth it."?

I had this idea earlier and my initial thought was stress. As for the source of stress, I think not feeling like I am accomplishing anything except for making money. Not feeling any emotional reaction from having customers wanting to purchase my product.
