May have been shared already but enjoyed this from Harvey Elliott after the Europa League Final? Does this count as a "Lampardian Transition" too?
"RED SCORPION" (1988) - another fond memory from 80s/90s VHS rental days. Not a classic by any means but good early Dolph with some decent action. Any fans of this one?
Red Scorpion is a 1988 American action film starring Dolph Lundgren and directed by Joseph Zito.
Lundgren appears as a Soviet special forces ("Spetsnaz") operative sent to assassinate an anti-communist rebel leader in Africa, only to side with the rebels.
"UNIVERSAL SOLDIER" (1992) - another real 90s favourite of mine from VHS rental days and really like it now still. Cool concept, great cast and some fantastic action sequences that still hold up now. Assuming quite a few fans of this one?
Universal Soldier is a 1992 American military science-fiction action film directed by Roland Emmerich, produced by Allen Shapiro, Craig Baumgarten, and Joel B. Michaels, and written by Richard Rothstein, Christopher Leitch, and Dean Devlin.
The film tells the story of Luc Deveraux, portrayed by Jean-Claude Van Damme, a former U.S. Army soldier killed in the Vietnam War in 1969, and returned to life following a secret military project called the "Universal Soldier" program.
However, he finds out about his past, though his memory was erased, and escapes with a young TV journalist (Ally Walker). Along the way, they have to deal with the return of his archenemy, Sergeant Andrew Scott (Dolph Lundgren), who had lost his sanity in the Vietnam War, and became a mentally unwell megalomaniac, intent on killing him and leading the Universal Soldiers.
"AMBULANCE" (2022) - a more recent film for today, but one that I really enjoy and think it has real style, some great action, cool cast and very exciting. Any fans of this one?
Ambulance is a 2022 American action thriller film directed by Michael Bay.
It is a remake of the 2005 Danish film. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as adoptive brothers who hijack an ambulance after robbing a bank and take a paramedic (Eiza González) and an injured police officer (Jackson White) hostage.
The film was first announced in 2015 and went through several crew changes. In 2020, Bay came on board to direct after the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted his plans to shoot a different film. Filming took place in Los Angeles, in the midst of the pandemic, with cinematographer Roberto De Angelis. The score was composed by Lorne Balfe.
"BLOWN AWAY" (1994) - another film from my VHS rental days, remember it fondly with some good action and a great cast, if not some questionable accents and politics. Any fans out there of this one?

"TANGO & CASH" (1989) - another firm favourite for today. Love it so much still. Great cast on top form, funny, good action, absolute nonsense in parts. Assume a fair few fans of this one too?
Tango & Cash is a 1989 American buddy cop action comedy film starring Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell, Jack Palance, and Teri Hatcher. The film follows Raymond Tango and Gabriel Cash, the titular pair of rival police detectives, who are forced to work together after a criminal mastermind frames them for murder.
The film was chiefly directed by Andrei Konchalovsky, with Albert Magnoli and Peter MacDonald taking over in the later stages of filming, with Stuart Baird overseeing postproduction. The multiple directors were due to a long and troubled production process, which included numerous script rewrites and clashes between Konchalovsky and producer Jon Peters over creative differences.
Tango & Cash was released by Warner Bros. in the United States on December 22, 1989, the same day as Always. The film received mixed reviews from critics, but was a box-office success, earning over $120 million on a $54 million budget.
“THE LAST BOY SCOUT” (1991) - going for an all-time favourite today. Love this film so much. Cast on top form, funny foul-mouthed dialogue, cynical violent action. So good…assuming lots of fans?
“PAYBACK” (1999) - I really like this one. Gibson on top form, great supporting cast, nasty cynical action. Any fans?
"PUNISHER: WAR ZONE" (2008) - I really like this version of the Punisher as well. Stevenson is great, some nasty gory violent action and a good cast. Any fans of this one too?
Punisher: War Zone is a 2008 vigilante action film based on the Marvel Comics character the Punisher.
Rather than a sequel to 2004's The Punisher, the film is a reboot that follows the war waged by vigilante Frank Castle / Punisher (played by Ray Stevenson) on crime and corruption, in particular on the disfigured mob boss known as Billy "Jigsaw" Russoti (Dominic West).
The film is directed by Lexi Alexander, from a screenplay written by Nick Santora and Art Marcum & Matt Holloway. It is the third feature film adaptation of the Punisher, the second reboot thereof and the first of two films to be produced under the Marvel Knights production banner, which focuses on films for mature audiences.
Development of a follow-up to The Punisher began two months before its release. The film was initially developed as a sequel, with Thomas Jane reprising the title role. Jane departed the project in 2006, and Ray Stevenson was announced as his replacement in July 2007. Filming began in October 2007 in Montreal, Canada.
"THE PUNISHER" (2004) - after Dolph's yesterday, the Jane one today. I do like this one as well, some decent action and a good cast. Has a nice gritty 70s/Mad Max feel to the start too. Any fans of this one?
The Punisher is a 2004 vigilante action film loosely based on the Marvel Comics character the Punisher.
It was directed by Jonathan Hensleigh, who co-wrote the film with Michael France. The film stars Thomas Jane as the eponymous antihero who seeks revenge against Howard Saint (John Travolta), a crime boss who ordered the deaths of the former's family.
The film's plot was mainly inspired by two Punisher comic book stories: the 1994 miniseries The Punisher: Year One, by writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, and the 2000–01 miniseries Welcome Back, Frank, by writer Garth Ennis. Screenwriter Jonathan Hensleigh agreed to direct the film during its development stage, despite a dispute with Marvel Enterprises, marking his directorial debut.
"THE PUNISHER" (1989) - I really love the Dolph Lundgren version and have fond memories of it from my VHS rental days heh. Really good cast and action. Would recommend the German Special Edition if you can find it, old big box VHS-style packaging, lots of extras and cut scenes. Any fans out there?

"THE LEGEND OF THE 7 GOLDEN VAMPIRES" (1974) - more retro today with this schlocky Hammer Horror/martial arts mash up from the 70s. Fond memories of watching it on UK TV as a child, some great fun action & silly horror. Peter Cushing a class act as always. Any other fans of this one? A reboot even?
