Is it going to gradually decline in quality as it becomes less and less profitable? Or go behind a paywall that gradually ramps up its cost? Or not change at all?
People say it’s out there and putting the genie back in the bottle is impossible but they don’t seem to take into account the expense - I am curious just how much more of a chore it will be for the average person to get out of apps like ChatGPT post-AI-collapse what they get out of it now. I’ve been browsing the sub and seeing conflicting things about it. Some people are saying open source local models are already so easy to run that people won’t need ChatGPT to get basically the same thing.
Obviously nobody can tell the future, but most of the people here understand this technology better than I do and can provide some kind of educated guess.
Hoping this doesn’t qualify as a low effort prompt post - this is something I’m really hoping to get some clarity on but I’m happy to delete it if it’s against the rules.
It’s at the end, when the blond guy opens the book his coworker gave him and realizes he jacked off onto it, and he gives him this look of exhausted desperation like he’s just reached his limit and is either about to cry or throw a punch, but before anything can happen another body falls from the ceiling and they have to get back to work.
The situation is absurd but the emotion feels very real. I don’t know how much involvement the band had in the video - usually they don’t do much - but that exchange just embodies the song so well, the level of internal rage that comes from endless humiliation at the hands of both your coworkers and superiors at a job you cannot afford to quit.
The fact that the job itself apparently consists of dragging corpses around a building and stuffing them into holes for no clear reason is also a great expression of the brutal stupidity of the boot most people find themselves trapped under.
I’m 30, M, 185lbs (down from 215 since last October), 5’9. I want to be thin. Not, like, emaciated, and I’ve been careful not to lose too much too quickly, but I just want to be thin. I really like the way I look when I’m thin. I still have some ways to go but I feel a lot better about my reflection than I used to.
Something I‘ve heard from well meaning people that is absolutely awful and incredibly upsetting is “you’re just built to be stockier.” But I don’t WANT to be stocky! I thought I didn’t look so stocky anymore! I’ve worked really hard to overcome my body dysmorphia, but the fact that people apparently think I’m doomed to be trapped in a body I hate is sending me spiraling back into those thought patterns - when I was “skinny” in the past, did I actually look skinny, or was I always built like an ogre and just unable to see it? And I know that’s a bad way to think but it’s where I go!
I’m so god damn sick of hearing about “body acceptance” from people. I’ve demonstrated the ability to lose weight at a healthy, gradual weight, my body dysmorphia is much better than it used to be, I‘m not starving myself, so why is everyone so fucking desperate to push acceptance and body positivity onto me? I heard no end of that shit before I started losing weight but I thought they’d stop once I showed I actually could be in control of myself and change my appearance to something I’m happier with. But they’re still doing it! I really don’t think people say these things out of spite or jealousy or anything like that, these are people who care about me and they seem to be under the impression that it’s somehow comforting to me, but it’s fucking devastating. And if it’s true, then it doesn’t matter whether they stop saying it or not, because it will be true regardless. I can lose thirty pounds and still not be able to outrun ✨acceptance.✨
I’m just looking for some perspective on this from regular people who know about this kind of shit

What is the proper reaction here? I checked AmIPwned and it showed the two data leaks from years ago that I was already aware of. Then I put my phone number into Cloaked and it immediately spat out a bunch of completely accurate personal information, so clearly it’s all out there. Maybe this is a stupid reaction but my immediate thought was I just can’t fucking deal with this right now, I don’t have the goddamn time to become a cyber security expert and stop all my private shit (from my bank information to, apparently, the most embarrassing parts of my search history according to this article) from being either exposed or perpetually on the brink of exposure forever. I thought I was reasonably careful, I set up two factor authentication a while ago and I’ve always used a bunch of different emails for different things, so a hacker or scammer getting into a single one might not totally fuck me. still I have so much shit I have to handle in my life and for this to be a looming threat is exhausting and infuriating. What am I supposed to do here? What is anybody supposed to do?
I drifted away from the main podcast a long time ago & mostly just followed Felix through his appearances on E1, but I’ve been getting into the Cushvlog archive lately so I’ve had the main channel recommended to me again, and the comments are all really fucking weird. Click on any random upload and it’s just the absolute frothing rage of random guys blaming Chapo for the failures and compromises of the Democratic Party on every subject regardless of what’s being said in the video. Like not reacting to anything in the actual audio but having already gotten worked up ahead of time over something they’re mad at, idk, the Majority Report or whoever for
Part of it might be that very few people who listen to an audio-only podcast are doing it on YouTube so it weeds out all the actual listeners, but it’s just such a bizarre level of directionless hostility. I feel like their comments section has always been fairly weird but it’s just gotten weirder and weirder with the years. None of the Cushvlog videos or appearances from Will/Matt/Felix/Amber on other podcasts are like that
Ride’s performance in that song is incredible already, and the pinnacle of it for me is the fear in his voice when he delivers the line “coming for yours, lock your doors” - like he‘s as afraid of what he’s going to do as anybody else (at least that’s how I hear it). It makes the song IMO, it‘s so much scarier than any other way he could have delivered it
i Don’t know how some of you don’t accidentally burn your house down while trying to make cereal
The camera seems to be rigged to the windshield and not being held by anyone. You can’t see the road, it’s facing the people inside the car. Sometimes people edit songs over it. I think maybe there’s stuff being thrown around in the car but I can’t recall exactly. hoping someone can help!
