Opencode allows specific models to be set as default for subagents. I was thinking to set deepseek v4 flash through Opencode Go as the default for certain subagents (explore, general, build etc) and meanwhile use a more capable model like Opus 5 or GPT-5.6 Sol through some other provider or API as the orchestrator/main session which calls upon the subagents.
Has anyone tried anything similar. What I'm worried about it is doe sit still bloat up the main session context? And I understand since models are from different provider so there won't be any shared cache but with DSV4 I can probably eat up that cost without too much issue. Are there any obvious drawbacks that I am failing to see?
Could life have originated in another galaxy or even another planet in our solar system and then landed here on earth through a happenstance/meteor/planned launch and we are a fork of the microbial life that landed here. I've been having terrible issues with may 2021 Zephyrus G15. It had been powering off even under normal loads and wouldn't turn back on for a while. I tried everything I could including software and BIOS updates as well as underclocking and updating fan speed curves but nothing worked. I looked into this sub reddit and many people seemed to be having similar issues and tried everything that anyone recommended.
I had almost given up thinking this is an old laptop maybe it's time has come. But as a last resort took it to an ASUS service center and they opened and cleaned it up and changed my thermal pads for a relatively small fee. And this has just breathed new life into the laptop. Seems like the issue was thermal shutdown and the new pads fixed it.
So my recommendation is if you haven't opened and cleaned and repasted/changed thermal pads on your old G15, please do so. If you are not as confident as me in opening up the laptop yourself, take it to a service center. I assure you it's worth it.
