Moving sooner than expected and need recommendations

Hi there, I'm moving from Oregon to go back to school. Not the only reason but the one with a deadline. Didn't realize classes start on the 24th. Was trying to get into the single parent apartments but they're full. So I need to find somewhere affordable for my kid, our two cats and I.

We're very respectful, quiet, and keep to ourselves. I'm looking for whatever I can that's safe and affordable. If you have any suggestions feel free to message me. Thank you

I(32f) am a single parent of one(11) kiddo and I'm going to university

I'm so incredibly nervous about this. Life circumstance prevented this earlier in my life and I'm just not getting a foot hold in life at all. I'm also moving about 18 hours away to go to university with the kid and our two cats.

I'm feeling so absolutely overwhelmed right now and honestly scared about what is to come. I have no idea how to even enroll in the classes I need to. Or if there's any financial aid I can get to help with living expenses. I also am having to get my kid enrolled in their school too. I'm also struggling financially so that's another layer to add on top of it all.

I'm not sure why I'm posting if I'm just being honest. Any advice, life experiences of others in similar positions... Idk thank you.

Any parents or students of Trek North question for you

Hi there, I'm moving from Oregon and enrolling my kiddo there. Just wanted to know your experiences with this school. Would you recommend? Did you like attending, the faculty, education?thank you for your time and feedback.

edit:

now I'm feeling very uninformed lol. I wish I would have realized the type of program it is. because I didn't realize it's for youth with behavioral issues. though, my child probably falls into this category. their issues are a little different though. I'll have a chat with the school and see if its actually a good fit for us first.

Iso help with flat tire

I'm currently stranded in a parking lot in Portland on 82nd. My tire is flat and my air pump isn't working now. To add to my lovely situation I don't have my tools and I'm waiting two more days to get paid. If there's someone out there who can help I would very much appreciate it. I am 100% a real person and genuinely need help.

I(32f) took my kid(11) to an Evanescence concert and it was one of the best things I've experienced in my life.

I have been listening to Evanescence since I was basically my kid's age. They have gotten me through some of the worst things in my life and I was able to not feel as alone as I was. Amy Lee is an incredible singer and incredible person.

I almost didn't stay for the concert and spent the first half hour after we parked bawling because I was so stressed out and confused. I finally was able to get myself together and we got inside the venue. This was both of our first concert so we arrived when the venue opened the doors(which I'm glad I did because it would have been a nightmare if we waited). We spent the first four hours just chilling in a grassy area while the two openers played. We got hailed on, which ow the hail was about a dime size and I'm surprised I'm not covered in bruises. My kid and I became one with the tree right by us to lessen the amount we got hit with. It was kinda funny and not too horrible.

Then we went back to our seat and watched the crew set the stage for them to come on.

Evanescence did AMAZING. There were songs that literally everyone in the amphitheatre sang with them and then some where we all just watched. I would look over at my kiddo and the look on their face was something I don't know how to describe. As a parent I know that this was something not a lot of parents will ever get to experience. Amy Lee did an intro to one of her songs that had me crying, I'm glad I brought sun glasses lol.

I know this is very random but I didn't know where else to post and Ive been a listener on here for years so thought I'd share with you people. If you get the opportunity to have this type of experience, don't pass it up.

How do I find out how much my comic books are worth?

I have a little stack of comics that are older. They aren't hero related comics but there are some Archie, looney toons etc. I try looking things up online but it's difficult for me to determine what they would be worth. Where could I go to find out what they are worth? Thank you

Diy trailer cover question

I'm attempting to make my own cover for my utility trailer because I'm going to be moving across country and want to protect my stuff but am on a tight budget.

What I'm thinking is light weight wood on the sides then bendy PVC pipe curved over the top and putting a tarp over the whole thing. The trailer was built up on the sides already with a steel frame and plywood. I just need to secure my stuff and keep it dry.

Will my cover effect the way it's towed. Are there any better suggestions?

Reaching out for support I guess

In 2022 I was in a car accident that I'm still shocked I walked away from. I went to the hospital, was awake the whole time according to my mom, but I only remember being conscious for parts of it. After that my ability to think and do things were severely inhibited. It took two weeks until I STARTED to get back to a "functional" capacity. Since then life has just been difficult, I've changed, I don't seem to know how to live life normally anymore. I feel like a shit parent. I feel like she would be better off if I gave her to more competent people. I've made decisions that I would have never previously and my ability to control myself has been gone at some points. I've thankfully never lost control when it comes to my kid but I'm scared. I've also been fighting my doctor since the accident to get her to take me seriously about having a tbi but get shut down or convinced to not worry about it. I am going to be moving us to a place that I can hopefully get help finally. Before its too late. I don't know where to go though. If you took the time to read this, thank you.
