(TLDR Below)

I just finished maxing out all the guns, almost 1k hours in, and the Eruptor is probably the worst weapon ive ever used. I can't understand how other players enjoy it when most of the people that are in my lobbies spend most of the time teamkilling with it. Before anyone says it's a skill issue, I tried every playstyle that was suggested by y'all, and some worked but I'll get into that in a sec.

I strictly play Diff 10. First, I tried it on bot and bugs, and most of the time was spent shooting once, getting rushed, and getting stuck on the insanely slow and stupid reload/chambering animation, or killing myself with the shrapnel from 30m away. The round itself also deflects so much and does absolutely nothing. ESPECIALLY on heavier targets that it's supposed to "excel" at killing. This weapon also INSISTS on requiring a support weapon to do most of the work, 95% of the time I was using stalwart instead.

I only slightly enjoyed it against the normal faction of squids, staying at the back and barely doing anything for the team but at least i was killing most enemies. The Hover pack strat was also super useful, getting to higher ground is obviously the go-to for it. The Sniper playstyle of by far one of my favorites, but i would rather take AMR and the Gamer chair paired with another weapon instead of the Eruptor.

I am going to attempt using it again after said all this and try to make it work, but i think crossbow outclasses it in terms of usefulness.

TLDR: Eruptor is slow af, requires specific playstyles and builds, not good for crowds or heavy targets, constantly deflect off targets. Specializes in teamkilling. Crossbow over Eruptor. Skill issue? Maybe. Hotel? Trivago.

Just want to make sure or if I should swap it for something different.

This game has been stuck in my head for years, played it on the Xbox growing up and havent touched it since. However, every stage is embedded in my brain and I still dont understand most of the game even after rewatching it on youtube. The final parts of the game were the "weirdest" (in a good way) especially the bosses.

The music was fantastic too, really had that creepy but relaxing feeling at times.

the language they spoke in game is also a mix of different irl languages.

The first game of the series already had a remaster so im looking forward to see if anyone else will pick this one up and do the same, I would definitely love to replay this on PC.

Were there any "trippy" games youve played?

Havent fought this faction in months because of the phasing issue, the flesh mobs got the fix but i guess Arrowhead put the rest of the faction on the back burner of things to fix?

literally played it once today and I still see so many problems with these guys going through walls and ignoring terrain. The little floating guys still spawn directly underground of defense missions too, making mortars useless at times. On top of going through buildings and still able to shoot you.

Teleports out of the dark area, instantly goes into heal stage, then despawns when everyone escapes the dark area.

anyone else (FTP/ Light spenders) even remotely close to getting her after all these years? I always forget this even existed and have only seen this screen since the tickets came out or when i get the red dot for a reward.

Context (Diff 10): Was doing artillery for the team, this guy had already died twice prior to the clip and was spamming the reinforce button each time. other teammates were taking their sweet time reinforcing him for unknown reasons, even waited a second as shown in the clip. So decided to call him in since they were struggling over in that area anyway.

Then decides to kill me and left without giving me a chance to kick.

Some context (Difficulty 10): Both cars are mine, he stole the first one but he picked up teammates and was helpful so i let it slide. I called the second, the one Im currently in.

I drove by him thinking he would go back for the first car since i saw him turning back, he hoped in so i was gonna drop him off at radar and drive to do artillery, then decided to kill me.
