A note from a former mod

AMB90/AMCBVN here. You might recognise me from my many many tiered posts in r/footballtransfers.
A little background from me. About 2 years go I became one of the mods of this sub, after working in football media for well over 10 years, and seeng the increasing amount of shit being pumped out by numerous publications I wanted to create a space where the viral, clickbait machine that we're subjected to was contextualised. The aim being we could all understand when transfers rumours were real, for want of a better word, or part of the click generating machine that is football content.
About 9 months ago AMCB90 was shadowbanned and I lost my posting ability, I still had limited Mod tools here but could not post, hence AMCBVN.
That brings us to now. we've seen a significant increase in visitors and submissions in the last few weeks and I have lost my status as a Mod of the sub, I think a site admin has taken over but I'm not actually sure.
I've sent some messages to try and get AMCBVN added as a mod but not heard anything.
anyway, I'm saddened I can't keep the moderation up, a large part of it was to try and ensure a level of consistency and truth about the standards of rumour and where they are coming from.
I'm going to keep pluggin away at making a Mod comeback but until then I've started a new sub r/footballinsights it's very much the same of the same idea. trying to understand the validity of the football news we hear, but more a focus on the wider game as well as transfers.
