Should my shoulder hurt after PT?

My physical therapist said that if my shoulder hurts after my at home PT that I have pushed it too hard. She said the muscles around the arm and elbow and supporting are are OK to hurt because you are are stretching them, but shouldn’t be pushing the repair. Since my shoulder hurts every single time I do my at home PT, I’m wondering if I am pushing too hard.

I can’t decide. Do you use both LrC and LR?

I am so confused. I have all of my photos in LrC. Collections, collection sets, smart collections, color labels, etc. I also use Lightroom desktop for some to bring photos into the cloud to edit on other devices. I would love to use only Lightroom Desktop because it seems to be getting updated that LrC is not. But the local storage option on Lightroom isn’t near as streamlined as LrC. No searching for faces, collections, etc. Does anyone use both? I’d love to be done with the catalog but can’t seem to make it work.

Quick export not showing metadata

I bring an image from Bridge to Photoshop and edit it. I then save it as "Quick Export as JPG" But when I do that and go back to bridge and view the edited image, the metadata no longer shows under the thumbnail. If I choose "export as" and go through all of the steps I see the metadata in bridge. I would rather just use the "quick export as JPG". Is there a setting to be able to see the metadata under the thumbnail with the method of saving?

Ice Machine after PT sessions

Did anyone use your ice machine after physical therapy sessions? Did you use it right after or did you use it at night on the days you had physical therapy? I had my first PT session today and it hurt like the devil. I’m supposed to do those exercise exercises three times a day and wondered if you use the ice machine, how you used it and when you used it

Pain after sling removal?

Wow. I was 6 weeks post op yesterday from large Supraspinatus tear and surgeon said to remove the sling. My upper arm is so uncomfortable. Honestly I didn’t have pain like this during the last 6 weeks with the sling on. I did PROM 3-4 times a day with pendulum swings and keeping the elbow bent. Is this pain when removing the sling normal? How long did it last for you?

Keeping sling on while out walking?

I’m not sure if I’m being a worry wart or not. Tomorrow I will be 6 weeks out from repair of a large full thickness tear of the Supraspinatus. Surgeon’s instructions say I can remove the sling. I am an avid walker of 3-5 miles everyday. I’m leaning towards wearing the sling on my walks for a few extra weeks. Am I being too cautious?

Confused about sling instructions

I am 6 weeks out and the paper from my surgeon says “Begin with removal of abduction pillow and sling off for short periods in a safe controlled environment at home. Gradually increase time out in the community over 2-4 weeks from beginning of sling weaning. “
Does that mean remove the pillow first and then later remove the sling? Or do both at the same time?

PT at home?

I will soon be 6 weeks post large supraspinatus tear and repair. I have been in the sling 24/7 since surgery with some PROM. (pendulum swings and straightening my repaired arm while supporting it with the other arm).
I’m scheduled to start PT next week. I am one who will be 150% committed to doing the exercises at home that I am shown by the physical therapist. What I’m wondering is, if therapist shows me the exercises that I need to do, would it still be necessary to come three times a week? Or would it be feasible to come once and do them at home until the following week. Or until he deems it it’s time to move on. I will obviously do whatever is best, but would prefer to save the co-pay and time commitment to visit visits that may not be absolutely necessary.

Using Siri to unlock iPhone with my Open Dots

I am wearing my new Shokz Open Pro 2 paired to my iPhone 16 Pro Max when I go out for my runs. Whenever I get a text message, I ask Siri to read my text message. But Siri wants me to “ unlock my iPhone“ first. I don’t like to take my phone out of my running belt when I’m out for a run. Is there a way to override this?

Imported as Virtual Copies?

Coming from a work flow of bridge>ACR>PS so still trying to learn LrC. I imported a group of photos from a folder on my desktop into Lightroom classic and I exported it to the very same folder on the desktop. I just noticed that the photos came in as virtual copies. Did I do something wrong in the import process? Should I have them go to a new folder in Lightroom instead of the same folder that they came from?

Keyboard shortcuts

I had Photoshop installed on my old computer and had it set up where I had keyboard shortcuts using the F keys. I would use the Fn key to override my Photoshop keyboard shortcuts, and just use the
FN key for the built-in macOS F keys. (Volume up, volume down, etc) now that I have my new computer running Photoshop I cannot remember how I got Photoshop to override the macOS keyboard shortcuts. Would anyone know how to do that?

Face detection showing all photos as one person

I’m sure this is something that I did wrong in setting up my Lightroom classic. But I went to turn on face detection after I had imported all of my photos, and every face is asking if it is my husband‘s name. I have 14,000 photos so I have to manually go in and say no and type the correct name under the picture. Is there a way to fix this mistake? I need to begin with?

How to back up my Photo Library

I have my catalog and Lightroom classic photo library on a portable SSD. I generally back up at the end of every editing session. I know that the backups of the catalogue are saved but how do you keep your photo library itself backed up? Do you back it up to a separate SSD? Is there an automated process for that or do you manually copy your photo library from one device to the other?

What week did you start actual PT?

I had a repair for a full thickness tear of the supraspinatus 4 weeks ago. What week did you start actual PT? Not the passive ROM and pendulum swings in the early days but actual PT?

Did you run in a sling?

Any runners here who had a full thickness here and repair try to run in a sling? I am about four weeks out still wearing the sling with the pillow and walking every day. But I am a runner and I am just itching to get back to running. Has anyone tried to run with the sling and the abductor pillow? If so, how long did you wait before trying it?
