Found one of these for $90 in working condition at a yard sale. It did not come with an antenna or any other accessories. From research, it seems these machines are pretty highly rated. Mine seems to be mid 80s. I have a few questions regarding it if anyone can help.

Does anyone know how, or if it can be done, to make my Kenwood Ts120 compatible with a 110v wall outlet?

What kind of antenna would you suggest for 10m and maybe eventually 40m bands. (Studying for higher licenses now).

Any suggested mods?

What kind of microphone system would you suggest?

Quick back story, we bought a Samsung Bespoke fridge 2 years ago and it completely died. Motherboard, sealed system, and the water pitcher switch all within 3 days of each other. After taking Samsung to small claims court, we finally received a check for the full refund amount plus court fees.

My question is, what brand of fridge would this sub suggest? We are a 3 person (2 adults 1 child) household. We need a counter depth fridge with water and ice dispensers. We would like either a side by side or French door.

We overall just want something reliable. Any suggestions on brand or specific fridge?

You have probably seen me in this sub the last few weeks.

9 months ago we noticed a small mass under my wifes nipple. After 3 months (shame on us go in immediately if you notice any kind of lump) we decided to get it checked. After referrals, appointments, imaging, etc we finally got the mammogram.

The dr said it was a 3.7cm mass with irregular microgobulated borders with no calcifications. He said it has a wavy border and that tumors that are Triple Negative tend to look like this. The tumor had continued growing too.

We were given a BIRads 4b and the doctor really upgraded it to a 4C after the guided ultrasound biopsy. The wait after the biopsy was grueling. Just because you are given a BIRAds of 4(a,b,c) does NOT mean you are diagnosed with cancer.

Today, we got the results. Its non cancerous and its diabetic mastopathy. (She is a type 1 diagnosed at 5).

We wanted to share because we had almost lost hope. We went down the Google rabbit hole.

However we learned a few things. First, love each other totally. Second, a dr cannot know what kind of cancer (or if you have cancer) just by imaging alone. Third, take your health seriously. This has been a huge wake up call for us. She will now be getting mammograms routinely to check the mass.

Hell everyone, I have been posting in this group for a few weeks now. Heres the run down.

I am no stranger to cysts in my breast. They will come for a month or 2 and then go away. However, one I noticed in December of 2025 started growing and didn't go away by February. I scheduled an appointment for primary care which took 2 weeks. My primary care said she wanted me to have a mammogram.

2 weeks ago I had a mammogram which showed my right breast had 3 cysts. My left breast had a large 37mm "mass". I was given a BIRADs 4B. Due to my heritage my doctor said "it's either an atypical fribroedanoma or triple negative breast cancer. He really said the imaging was concurrent with what a triple negative tumor would look like.

I had my biopsy today and the mass was extremely dense. The needle bounced off the mass several times. Also, now in the last few days, my nipple on that side seems flatter. Not inverted but flatter.

We are terrified. I just turned 30. I am also a type 1 diabetic.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! Could I by chance ask you some questions on a mammogram I just had? (31 female) Essentially, December of 2025, I suddenly felt a large lump behind my left nipple. I am no stranger to cysts so I waited a few months for changes. The lump never changed. Then, in May 2026, the lump swelled up to where I and my husband could notice it "popping out". After a few days or so, it seemed to of "shrunk back". I went in for a consultation and it took about 3 more months to get in. My primary care doctor felt both sides and said she could move them around. I was referred to get a mammogram.

Went for my mammogram on Wednesday. The Dr came in immediately and talked to me about it. He said he could not rule out cancer and something about a "wavy" border.

He asked if I was Puerto rican which I am half. He said it could be triple negative or a fibro.

He classified me as a BIRADs 4 (no letter grade).

I was scheduled immediately for a needle biopsy for this coming Tuesday.

Heres what hos notes said:

IN THE LEFT BREAST, THE PALPABLE MASS CORRESPONDS TO A LARGE 37 MM HYPOECHOIC 38X33X19 MM MASS WITH DENSE POSTERIOR SHADOWING. IRREGULAR MICROLOBULATED MARGINS, IRREGULAR BORDERS.

I do have a pretty hefty cancer risk on my dad's side (which is Puerto Rican).

Overall, what he said was very scary. We are both terrified it may be triple negative. My breast now hurts and my nipple does look a bit flatter and less protruding.

I know you cannot give medical advice. However, what's your personal opinion?

We bought it fall of 2023. It took 5 months to be delivered to us. When it arrived, it came without the glass panels that we then had to wait another 6 months to deliver after buying out of pocket and being "reimbursed" with lowes' gift cards (yeah actually). The fridge is barely over 2 years old but out of the two year warranty.

The fridge stops cooling and the freezer stops freezing. No water pitcher (it stopped working), no ice, just lights.

I contact Samsung and they said they need to send a Samsung Tech out to look at the fridge. The first two agents said there are no Samsung Techs in our area so we would have to find a local repair tech and pay out of pocket. We did just that and got a local repair tech. He came out and did a full diagnostic and determined (pretty easily and quickly) that our entire sealed system has failed.

I contact Samsung and they stated the sealed system has a 10 year warranty on parts and a 5 year warranty on labor (they got in trouble with the US government and had to offer that however they don't like to mention it, that's how bad these fridges are).

I sent them the work order and notes/pictures from our repair tech showing and stating that the fridge is dead via a failed sealed system. Now, they are stating they need an official Samsung Tech to diagnose it. There are none in my area, so now they are saying we would need to BRING SOMEONE OUT OF COUNTY/STATE and pay them out of pocket to diagnose.

Every time I ask the agent to escalate the issue to someone higher up, they state "there is no one else".

The last two times I've called US support, the agents on the other end did not speak English. No I'm not saying that they just had a heavy accent, they literally did not speak any English.

How do I proceed? I know there are many Facebook groups dedicated to taking Samsung to small claims but man, I just want a fridge.

Do not, under any circumstances, let your friends or family, hell even enemies, buy a Samsung Appliance.

*Edit:* They are now saying in the 3 days in between talking with them, they said a Samsung Tech center "popped up" and is now available in our area. AFTER we just paid $150 for a local tech we were told was sufficient. We are filing a consumer complaint with our State AG.

I am needing some opinions and advice on what to do. I'm stuck. Heres the situation:

I am a CNA at a hospital. I love my hospital and co workers and they seem to really like me. I have been in school for a year for pre requisites and I have been accepted into the Surgical Tech program.

As a side note, both the surgical tech program and nursing program are very competitive here. There's two schools in a 150 mile radius that do them. Surgical Tech has 28 spots each year with 650 applicants. Nursing has 40 spots yearly with around 800 applicants.

I have a 4.0 GPA with 10 years of CNA experience.

Heres my issue. Everyone at the hospital (co workers, supervisor, doctors) say I would make an excellent nurse. In my hospital, CNA get paid $24, Surgical techs $39, and nurses $45. I went with Surgical Tech because I felt I wouldn't be a good nurse (for some reason idk). Others apparently think differently and my supervisor said if I did the nursing program, they would hire me right out of school for $59 an hour while surgery Tech would be $42.

Should I give up my seat as a Surgical Tech student for the chance to get into nursing in January? My current year of classes i have already done apply to both programs so no waste there.

Hospital pays for my schooling either program I go with. Day to day work duties, I partially lean to Surgical Tech. However, it's not like I would hate nursing. I think I'd really like it too and it's more in line with what I'm used to.

Any advice and any "pros and cons" of either would he greatly appreciated. I know this is a nursing sub but it seems to be the most appropriate sub, unless someone can steer me in a better direction.

About a month back, we switched insurance to progressive. As a back story, I really care about how much our deductible would be for a windshield replacement. This is my 3rd windshield on my car in 5 years.

This is our first insurance plan on our own (was on my parents previously). I had no idea your windshield replacement deductible was your comprehensive deductible.

This is a very tricky situation and it now sounds far fetched but here it goes.

A month ago I went to my progressive account to see what the cost of a windshield replacement would be if i ever needed one (my windshield was fine). I never submitted a claim. Seeing that it was our deductible of $750 for a windshield replacement, I quickly switched our our comprehensive plan to one with a lower deductible. Then, about 3 days later, i recieved an email stating my claim for windshield replacement was accepted and to choose a repair facility. I was very confused because I had never submitted a claim.

I then talked with our progressive agent who closed the claim out. However now, it is still on our account as being a closed claim even though I never submitted one in the first place.

Heres where it gets stressful. Yesterday, a rock flew off a flatbed on the freeway and smashed my windshield right on the driver side.

Can I submit a new claim? Our deductible is now $100. Or will they try and say it was a previous claim at $750 deductible (even though my windshield was fine then)?

Should I wait to claim? If so how long?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. 😑

I have a Lectric Xp2.0. I am wanting to rig a dual battery set up, one battery in the frame, and the other as a "downtube". Im just checking if I have everything needed and also a question at the end. First, I have:

48v 10.5ah battery by Hailong (comes with downtube mount)

Lectric in frame 48v 10.4ah standard range battery

Stock controller

Battery balancer with max ah of 50

Now, anyone have the XP2.0, how did you mount an external battery? The xp2 doesnt have top frame screw options. I do have a rear rack however the standard mounts that batteries come with wouldnt seem to fit. Zip ties? Metal banding?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I just bought a previously owned XP2 with 500 miles on it. Its in amazing shape and was well maintained. The only issue is, they took the rear rack off and eventually lost it. Where can I get a replacement? Ive looked all over Lectrics site and I cant find anything. I would be willing to go aftermarket too.

Also, any suggestions on what to do some maintenance on now that I am a new owner and i dont know when it was serviced last?

ICM Module + New plug (1984 Ford F150 | 300cu Inline 6 | 4 spd

Hey yall,

I got an 84 F150 that started having issue with its ICM. When going to replace it, I saw the plug in for it was absolutely FUBAR. I bought a new plug, ICM (it's a TFI that sits under the dist), and a new Ignition Coil.

I cut the wires on the plug and begun splicing in a new connector. I used 60/40 lead electrical solder and used heat shrink wraps. This is the only thing I have replaced so far. I still need to replace the TFI and the Coil.

I plugged in the connector and, nothing. Truck won't even turn over. When I unplug the new harness from the TFI, the truck turns over (but obviously won't start).

I got my handy dandy multimeter and went to work. I checked the pins, wires, even back probed. Every wire is getting around 12v. The green wire gets 5v and the red gets 9v when cranking but gets 0 when the key is sent to the "accessory" position. This is a 6 pin connector. I checked ground continuity and ground is fine and continuous at 0 ohms.

Any suggestions on what's happening?

Has anyone had to deal with getting a piece of property rezoned? Specifically in Lane County but would take any knowledge I can.

Essentially, a 15 acre piece of property is sandwiched in the middle of rural residential (build able lots). The 15 acre parcel is zoned 551 Improved Farm Use which is under EFU.

Again, all properties around it are now zoned residential. What would the process be like in getting it rezoned? I know I need to contact a land use lawyer but I wanted to see if it would even be possible or worth it and to learn other people's experiences going down this path.

I have a 1984 Ford f150 Inline 6, gas 4 spd manual.

Yesterday I was driving to work and it was completely fine. Started up great, ran and drove really well to work (25 minute commute). This was early morning. After work, I had to go pick up some fencing. On my way back, the engine shuts off completely. When I turn the key, it turns over but doesn't start want to start. Gas is almost full (filled yesterday morning), oil is good, and its not overheating (gauge sits at 1/3 heat).

I left it at work over night. This morning I went and checked the coolant and It was all good. I then received advice to take the fuel line running from the manual fuel pump to the carb off and see if the fuel pump was working. I took the line off and cranked it over and gas sprayed out of the fuel pump (it works). I then reassembled the fuel line onto the pump and tried it again and, it started and ran fine. I let it sit for 20 minutes running and it was doing great. I drove it around the parking lot and got it up to 3rd gear and it was running and idling smoothly.

Then, about 5 hours later, when leaving work, it went back to starting and dying instantly. Any advice on what to do next? Heres what ive done so far:

Checked coolant levels

checked oil level

gas is full

checked battery cables

checked spark plug cables

checked fuel pump.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
