My first Jak & Daxter game! Any tips?

My first Jak & Daxter game! Any tips?

I recently dusted off my childhood PS2 and started picking some classics I missed out on while growing up. Got this from my local retro game store and i’m super stoked, but I’m not sure what to expect. I’ve only heard fantastic things about this series.

Any tips are appreciated! Thanks 🙏🏼

My first SlyCooper game! Any tips?

This is my first time buying and playing a Sly Cooper game and I couldn’t be more excited! Picked this up off eBay in great condition.

I’ve only heard people rave about how incredible this franchise is and I recently took out my childhood PS2 and connected it to my CRT TV. What should I expect? Any tips?

My first Dreamcast. Game Recs?

First off, I’m excited as hell about this because I always wanted a Dreamcast since I was a kid in the early 2000s. I managed to snag one of these of FB market place for only $50. I feel like the luckiest man child alive rn.

That said, what are some must have games? Would love to dive into the world of Sonic but not sure where to start.

Turned on my PS2 for the first time in 20 years.

From the legendary start up sound to the iconic Kingdom Hearts menu song, it was one of the most nostalgic and gratifying moments in my life. I grew up playing Kingdom Hearts, so seeing it on my recently purchased CRT TV brings me so much joy.

Dusted off my childhood 64 to play the greatest game ever made on this new beauty.

Got this for $60 off marketplace. Who knew this could bring so much joy. I actually cried when it booted up.

My Japan 2026 haul

Went to Japan this year in April/May and scored on nice Golden Week deals. The actual price of each game was far below the price listed on the sticker tag. The most expensive game I purchased was Dragon Quest 7: reimagined for the switch 2 for about $18. Others were roughly $5-12

I also made sure all of the games I purchased are playable on my switch 2 and have English language options (with the exception of Splatoon 2). I know some Japanese so I also plan to play many of these in the original language to practice.

I picked up:

  1. Okami HD
  2. Paper Mario RPG
  3. Super Mario RPG
  4. Splatoon 2
  5. Splatoon 3
  6. Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze
  7. Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 Remastered collection
  8. Onimusha Warlords
  9. Fantasy Life: The Girl Who Steals Time
  10. Dragon Quest 7: Reimagined

Also picked up the N64 Expansion pack controller for only $20 from the Nintendo store along with some Amiibos and key chains from the Gachapons (which are exclusive to the Nintendo Tokyo store).

If you ever go to Japan, be on the hunt for physical games. You never know what you may find, especially outside of the touristy areas.
