To Block or not my romantic interest

I am not sure if it makes sense to block someone you used to love or still having strong bond in your mind. He is attracted to me and I am too and he expects me to meet him during business trip to have sex with him even though being married and having kid. On top, he is emotionally unavailable and anytime can leave, entirely avoidant type of personality. Very opportunistic. And contacted me only when he is bored, he barely acknowledges my feelings for him. He happened to be the chosen one when I was in my 20s.

The bond is very strong, I feel from my end. How can I possibly get rid of this person from my mind? Blocking him in emails made me check my spam. Please help.

So I unblocked him .. but then also I check emails as if there is a hope that he would understand one day.

Please help me.

When do you charge your phone?

At what % of battery do you charge your phone? I am trying to develop a good habit so that battery lasts longer.

Is it 20% when you start charging?

Can I charge at 37% also, or it is not efficient and too early?

Clueless about Kung-Fu

Hi all,

I am interested to learn Kung Fu for physical health and muscle mass gain. I looked up several schools in my town, but I am confused. I know of only Shaolin Kung Fu. Do all schools teach that Kung Fu or anything else? Before calling the school, I am interested to know what do I need to know beforehand to even enroll for the training.

I also saw something called Wushu .. but I cannot jump for my bad knee. What would you recommend?

Must I use the same cable for charging iPhone 17?

I do not have any USB C charger and I did not realize it while buying a new iPhone. However, when I am home, I have many ports on MacBook which I can use. The issue would be while traveling and I carry a power bank which has a port. I wonder if I can charge my phone from Nitecore cable and use my old charger - picture attached. Is it a possible to charge this way with no bad impact?

GOOG Senior SWE Prep

Keeping it short.

- Where to gte google tagged questions if google removed leetcode's google tagged questions? Any other alternatives?

- Anyone else preparing also? We could share ideas.

For myself, not leetcoded since 4 years and need to brush up from zero.

- Is it better to start from Cracking the coding interview book, or leetcode 75 or 150 kind of bank of questions?

- Any kind fellow to share the list of system design preparation links? I am so much out of touch of all these over the years.

I promise to give back once I am back on track. Thank you.

Spaghetti tour Preparation (Monte Rosa)

Hey all,

I was checking the description of this tour and it looked so exciting. I only climbed some under 3000 meter peaks in the Alps. And would like to be fit for such tour actually. The fitness level requires of 10 hours of hiking for multiple days. This sounds over my limit.

Running is not for me.

How can I possibly get better to reach to that endurance level? I am located in central Europe.

Looking for preparation tips and guidance to make Spaghetti tour successfully happen in life. For me, reaching that fitness level to say I can do it would be absolutely a big achievement in life.

If you share your journey that would really help me. :) Thanks in advance.

Multi-day Hiking in Austrian Tyrol & Marschtee confusion

Hi all,

I am genuinely curious if water is available in the huts in Berlin High Trail. I see that in the morning Marschtee can be taken which is of 1 liter. What does it mean?

The tea is hot and my lightweight plastic bottle may not hold that. So, hikers buy bottles? Looking for suggestions. If I recall, such tea can be useful if you do some training in the glacier, in chilly weather.

Apart from that, Marschtee to quench your thirst sounds a bit odd.

What do people do in those cases?

Emotions after meditation in daily practice

Anyone faced negative emotions like anger, sadness right after finishing the Vipassana meditation when practicing at home? It seems like certain situations in life where you cannot do much appear in the mind almost at the end of meditation and takes you away .. even if you are observing, you feel those emotions as emotions.

Am I doing something as mentioned in Satipatthana Sutta?

With Swiss Driving license auf Probe WAB training Preparation

Hi, I got my "auf Probe" license converting my German to Swiss driving license. Can you share how difficult WAB training is? I am a bit worried about driving because I am a new driver (one year old) and have driven a car only once all by myself after passing my exam last year.

Could you give some practical advice to me so that I can become a confident driver here?

Should I contact some school for some driving trainings on Swiss streets just to gain confidence under the supervision? Also, any advice for WAB so that I can pass easily? Would normal driving trainings help for that as well?

What's your worst Dhamma 10 days service experience?

I am sure many of you had given 10 days service in your being a Vipassana meditator journey. What had been your worst service experience? What have you learned from the Sankharas that arose, any AHA moment and how you overcame that, or corrected your reactions?

Let's use this forum to share our experience so that we refrain from making mistakes while giving service. Thank you so much.

Bhagwad Gita as it is - what a disappointment!

I was reading Chapter 6, and I was thoroughly disappointed reading the Purport, where for every verse Bhakti Yoga concepts are chipped in. I mean this does not serve the purpose of reading the meaning of the verses, right?

On top, it is written that Bhakti Yoga is the best and even better than Gyan Yoga .. I was shocked. I read Sivananda's Bhagwad Gita as my first Gita, and I think I got a different idea.

Very little was stressed on the discussion of Meditation in Chapter 6 in Bhagwad Gita as it is by Swami Prabhupada. Should I stop reading this book and look for some other copy which is not super opinionated and provide the explanation as it truly is?

Swiss Driver License conversion from German one

Hi all, I have my German driving license (automatic only). And I submitted my application two weeks ago, but I got a call after 10 days asking about many questions like if I can drive on manual, and why there is a Schlüsselnummer in my driving license, if I own a car here.

My license is only 1 year old. Anyone faced this kind of experiences while converting license in Swiss? I understand that in Germany there are different rules. I wonder what decision would be taken for me.
