Device keeps crashing. Kernel Power Issues

My PC would crash all the time while gaming, typically with event viewer showing Kernel Power event ID 41. Reinstalled windows and the graphics drivers. Now my PC can’t go 1 minute without shutting down and giving this screen:

Nvidia Surround lowering resolution to 1080p

I’m using Nvidia surround for my 3 1440p monitors. For some reason, a lot of the time my PC will boot up and only be at 1080p. I can’t change the resolution back to 1440p in the control panel. The only fix is shutting down the computer, unplugging all the monitors, and resetting up surround. I am using the DP cables that came with my monitors, although one is on a different model DP cable (same brand, DP 1.4)

Today my pc just shut down randomly, and turned back on with 1080p

How do I fix this? Do I need the same DP cable for all monitors? Is this a fixable Nvidia Problem?

Quest 2 resolution quality issues

Using a Quest 2 on VR. I have a 5070 & a I7 270k Plus & 32GB RAM

Even after setting the resolution to max in the oculus app, the image on my headset is very blurry and poor. It feels like I’m playing a game on the Wii. Is there any settings I’m missing? I’m used to 1440p on a 32 inch monitor, and right now the oculus’s resolution feels far, far worse.

Using base iRacing graphics config - hasn’t changed anything in the graphics or display section.

Unpaid Balance on my AMEX Card post intenrship

I finished my Internship in March and received a Statement of Account from American Express saying I had an unpaid balance of $128 on my card. I looked at the statement and saw that it was made up of reimbursable travel expenses to Lakehouse (I either forgot to put it into concur or assumed they would be automatically reimbursed)

I am unable to pay the balance myself via the American Express website. Keep in mind I am NOT an active employee at KPMG so I can't use the self-service connection or CORE. I am a student currently, and haven't made a full time employment decision yet.

Enough support for my triple monitors?

Just upgraded to triples, and wanted to know if the homemade integrated stand I have currently is supportive enough. I’ve noticed a slight angle from the monitors pulling on the frame (pic 2) and was deciding between adding more brackets (locations show in pic 3) or just buying a freestanding stand.

Alternatively, is there anywhere I can buy cheap 8040 profile? I only need a few pieces extra to build a real stand.

Used 750W PSU for Gaming

I needed to upgrade the power supply in my desktop, and since Dell only has proprietary PSU’s I bought a used PSU on eBay — about 40% cheaper than MSRP — to lower my RTX 5070ti.

Has anyone had success with a secondhand Dell PSU? Are they more or less reliable compared to other brands?

Dell PSU Daisy Chaining

Hello, I’m using the 750 W dell PSU, and saw that it only comes with 2 PCIE cables to connect to the GPU. I’m using a 5070ti, so I one the cables going to the GPU is daisy chained. ie. One cable has its 8 pin connector hook up, while the other cable has its 8 pin and 6 pin (using an 6 to 8 adapter) cables hooked up.

Is this safe for the wires? Anyone have similar experience?

PSU to GPU Connector Help

Hello, I just upgraded to a 5070ti and am using a Dell OEM PSU. The PSU has 2 different cables, with 2 different connectors at end end (4 in total). Each cable has a 8 pin & a 6 pin connector at the end.

Since the 5070ti requires 24 pins, I’m using a 6 -> 8 pin adapter for one of the connectors. The 8 pin connectors are also in use. Is this safe? If it isn’t safe then what are my options?

GPU vs CPU bottleneck.

Hello, I am upgrading to 1440p triples soon and am wondering what will be the bottleneck of my system; GPU or CPU. I have an Intel Core Ultra 7 2.4 GHZ, and was either going to get a 5070 vs a 5070ti GPU. I play only iRacing, which isn’t very demanding graphically, more so on the CPU side

My question is, will my CPU bottleneck my system to the point where 5070ti vs 5070 is arbitrary? If so I would prefer to just go with the cheaper 5070.

GPU vs CPU Bottleneck

Hello, I am upgrading to 1440p triples soon and am wondering what will be the bottleneck of my system; GPU or CPU. I have an Intel Core Ultra 7 265(non-k) 2.4 GHZ, and was either going to get a 5070 vs a 5070ti GPU.

Triple Monitor Angle? How much is too much? I’m trying not to distort the image

I’m buying 27” inch 1000RR curved monitors for triples, and am worried about image distortion with the angle I will have them at. I will have them pretty close to my face (21 inches) and around a 56 degree angle. I want to achieve at least a 180 degree FOV. How much angle is too much with these monitors? I’ve attached a FOV screenshot that shows my monitors at the current angle to achieve my desired FOV.

Thanks

Dell TowerPlus EBT2250 PSU upgrade

Anyone have experience with upgrading the PSU in a Dell EBT2250 computer?

I currently own a Tower Plus EBT 2250 with a 460W PSU and am planning on upgrading to a more powerful 5070ti GPU. I want to this upgrade my PSU to 750W, but I heard this model may not take 3rd party PSUs. Can I only upgrade to a proprietary Dell PSU? If so where would I buy that? If I am able to upgrade to a 3rd party PSU would I need adapters etc.?

ie. What are my options to upgrade the PSU

Do I need to upgrade my 5060ti to support 5120x1440p?

I currently have a 8gb 5060ti that runs a 3440x1440p ultrawide very well— at least 100 fps (for low demanding games such as iRacing). Was wondering if would need to upgrade to a better card and more VRAM to run a 49 inch G9. Or maybe even 3 2560x1440p monitors?

Specs:
Intel Core Ultra 7 265
RTX 5060ti 8GB VRAM
32GB DDR5-5200 RAM
1 TB SSD

Minimum GPU for a 49in ultrawide?

I have a 5060ti with an intel ultra 7 265 core. Already running a 34 inch ultrawide at 1440p at max settings (iRacing) and was wondering if I could manage to do 1440p on a 49 inch.

Triple 32’s at 1440p with a 5060ti with 8gb VRAM?

I want to upgrade to triples, but I’m concerned my VRAM will be the bottle neck. Will I be able to run medium-high settings with smooth performance?

I got rear ended twice in the Nürburgring 24h 😬. Should I just take the normal racing line and except them to pass? I also tried flashing my brights and moving into the inside of the corner the entire corner and that sorta worked but added a ton of lap time..
