Hey everyone,
Most of you know me online as Endersteve8479, but my real name is Dominic
I’m making this post because I need to be completely honest: I absolutely hate my Cat in the Hat mod. Looking back at it, it just isn't the kind of work I want to be known for. I want to build a reputation for making genuinely good, high-quality projects that people love playing, but right now, I feel stuck. It is incredibly frustrating because whenever I think I'm making something cool, it feels like it just flops or doesn't hit the mark with the community.
Outside of modding, things have been really tough lately too. To be completely transparent, I’ve been dealing with a lot of intense loneliness, and it can feel honestly terrible sometimes. It's hard carrying that around, feeling like your life is a joke, feeling like no one cares, but things have been getting better ❤️🩹 , and I really hope that in the future, I can find someone I can truly love, care about, and share things with.
Working on these projects is one of the ways I try to channel my energy, but I don't want to keep making the same mistakes. I want to actually grow as a developer and a person. I really need some honest advice from you guys:
I don't want to keep making the same mistakes, and I want to actually grow as a developer. I really need some honest advice from you guys:
What specific things make a Hello Neighbor mod genuinely fun and engaging for you?
For those who saw my past work, what are the biggest things I need to change or improve on mechanically? Right now I’m working on a PreAlpha man mod that people can use in their projects and I am making 2 animated videos now, “It doesn’t matter” by TLT but Hello Neighbor and caseoh VS fast Fredbear.
How can I better test my projects so they feel fair and polished instead of frustrating?
I’m trying to completely pivot and put my energy into better things moving forward (like my PreAlpha Man project), but I want to make sure I’m heading in the right direction this time. Any constructive feedback or advice would mean a lot.
Thanks for reading

Anyone want to chat about gaming/modding?*"* or ask a question to start a thread.
My Hello Neighbor animated version of “It doesn’t matter” by TLT is almost done :D
So I realized how terrible my cat in the hat mod is, thank you so much to Player.L on moddb for helping me realize this, and so I’m starting from scratch and making actually good stuff, right now I’m working on a PreAlpha Man mod for people to use and TJOC in hello neighbor, they are not fast characters I’ll tell you that, the moddb page for cat in the hat should be gone soon, same with steam but for now that’s all I wanted to say
Sincerely - Endersteve8479 (creator of caseoh, cat in the hat, and Bon runaway mod)
Me personally act 1
I said i wouldnt make anymore fast character mods but a request from a youtuber wanted me to make another one and so i did
i exported the hello player new version and tried to use the neighbors animations so i could have nicky sitting watching tv. this is the demon that was made
I was searching through the modkit and discovered the blueprint that was used for the "perspective of neighbor" test footage from early alpha 3. heres the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSCCH4Frwrw
I feel like I've been putting out Devlogs for hello guest one last time too early as i mean you can tell i haven't done a bunch of stuff for Devlog 3, so for Devlog 4 it might take me a couple months. I've also been working on stuff like TJOC (The Joy Of Creation) In Hello Neighbor, I've also been working on other things like Hello Neighbor Alpha Remake, and honestly I've just been feeling burned out and i want to take a small break, I'm sorry if i disappointed anyone
This mod adds The Cat In The Hat to Hello Neighbor, this mod is based off of the Nextbot for Gmod
