Home Centre Acacia Wood Dining Table - Anyone Bought Furniture From There?

Hey everyone,
Has anybody here bought furniture from Home Centre, especially dining tables?

I recently saw an acacia wood dining table there which looked really neat, compact, and surprisingly sturdy. I’ve heard acacia wood is generally durable and long-lasting compared to engineered wood or rubber wood.

But I’m a bit confused now because my cousin had a bad experience with a dining table from Home Centre though hers was rubber wood, not acacia. The table I saw felt much stronger in person, but after hearing her experience I’m hesitant.

I’ll attach the picture of the table I’m considering. Would love to hear:

  • How has your experience been with Home Centre furniture?
  • Is acacia wood actually durable for long-term daily use?
  • Any issues with wobbling, cracking, polish wearing off, etc.?
  • Would you recommend buying dining tables from there?

Please share honest experiences 🙏

How do girls keep their hands and nails looking always groomed?

I am someone who was never really into skincare/self care before, but lately I feel like I want to become more groomed and put together overall. Please don’t judge me 😭 I genuinely don’t know the basics of nail/hand care.

This is how my fingers, nails and knuckles currently look just a few days after a manicure. The skin around my nails becomes dry/peely/dark very fast and my hands never look clean or salon neat.

I want to learn:

  • how to shape nails properly for my hand
  • how people keep their hands moisturized and neat all the time
  • how to maintain cuticles
  • how to stop rough/dry skin around nails
  • basic routines/products that actually help

Girls who transformed their hands/nails from this to groomed. Please share realistic beginner advice 😭

Confused between can water vs RO - what’s actually better long term?

I’m staying in Blore and currently using can water. It’s pretty hassle-free.

But lately I’ve been thinking whether I should get an RO purifier instead. My brother says RO will become more expensive in the long run because:

  • yearly maintenance/service may cost around ₹3k
  • filter changes
  • electricity
  • occasional repair headaches

For people living in Blore:

  • Did you switch from can water to RO (or vice versa)?
  • Which turned out cheaper/practical?
  • Is RO actually worth it for 2 people?
  • Any hidden problems with either option?

Bit confused, would appreciate honest suggestions

I have hair loss around my hairline, especially at the front/start of the hairline, and it’s becoming visibly noticeable. Has anyone here actually reversed it or tried something that helped grow new hair? Did rosemary water or rosemary oil help? Or was there something else that worked for you?

Hi girlies (especially married women whose husbands just sit and enjoy while you burn out on the other hand),

Sister advice here.

For a very long time, I was hesitant to get a cook or any kind of house help. I kept thinking I should manage everything myself. But after overthinking for months I finally got a cook last month and I swear this is one of the best decisions ever.

All that tiredness, irritation, frustration from doing everything alone? Gone. I feel so relieved now.

The cook doesn’t make super fancy or extraordinary dishes but honestly that doesn’t even matter. What matters is:

  • I have proper meals every day
  • I can eat what I want
  • My workload is so much less

If you’re thinking about it just get help. You will NOT regret it. Trust me.

One mistake I made though: I bought a robot vacuum instead of hiring a cleaning maid. Big mistake 😭
I’m not regular with using it because I have to clear things off the floor first… and I keep procrastinating.

A cleaning helper on the other hand would just come and get it done regularly without me having to think twice.

Also if you’ve done anything that reduced your workload be it anything like:

  • booking services for cleaning
  • hiring help
  • buying some useful equipment
  • any small life hack

Please share it here. It would really help me (and I’m sure a lot of other women too) 💛
