Can I have some advice on my unbalanced physique?

So I’m about to be a high school senior at 6’1 165 pounds lean. I’ve been doing leg sports ever since I was 6 with mountain biking, snowboarding and sprinting track and field. This has left me with the legs of someone who’s like 185 while my upper body is the body of someone who’s well, 165. My quads are 22.5 and my calves are 15(though calves don’t really matter to me). My arms are about 13.5 inches, chest circumference 41, and my shoulders are 45.5. Right now I’m doing track specific lifting in the off season summer, fall, and winter and taking a full hiatus from lifting each spring for the track season. So I’m not totally dialed in on lifting. My coach has me doing like 70-30 explosiveness to hypertrophy lifting in the offseason. When I do the hypertrophy training my coach is having me do lighter weight with tempo causing the growth vs high weight and failure which is kind of annoying. I recently saw a video ranking certain training splits and the dude said his third overall pick is great for balancing out upper vs lower. Is there anything I could do to balance things out? I mean my upper body is fine id say, I look athletic and I have some muscle, pretty good shoulders genetically. Just wondering if there’s a good way to do things when I’m doing my own split in the fall/winter?

Finally finished😵‍💫

36 hours in, finally completed all side quests along with the main story. I grinded the story in about 3 days and from there did straight side quests. Safe to say I’m putting it away for a whiiiiiiiile. This is actually the first game where I’ve completed all side quests, it was a good time but man did it get tiring. I don’t think I’ll ever 100% the quests of a game any bigger than this. Curiously through all my side questing my agility was only at 20, my combat was level 18, and my survivor rank was 21. So yeah, bye bye dying light unless I want to pop in for some zombie slaughter. It was nice playing ya🫡

FARUK NO!!!!!!

This was my first protect the NPC job since I’ve been trying to do all the side content I can now that I’ve beaten the game. And Faruk is the sales guy for Zerp Cleaning Supplies who stands outside the tower in The Slums. He was so awesome and devoted to Zerp and he had skills with his machete. We were on the third of his three deliveries and a stupid fucking Rais goon saw him and shot him before I could get around the corner to kill him. I was so pissed I lost my bestie that I went on a little rampage…… He will forever live on in my heart. A great soldier, and more importantly, a great salesman🫡

I’m looking for some workout motivating songs🙏

I have a workout motivation playlist with a few songs on it but it’s only 14 songs. Notable ones are Ghost Walking from LOG, Unsainted from Slipknot, and my favorite motivational song Find A Way Or Make One from Amon Amarth. Any other songs I can add along similar lines? Hard rock is welcome too since I’ve got a couple songs from Dope and heavier Shinedown on there too.

P.S. For some more context it’s mainly music for my track workouts since I’m doing sprint training the whole offseason. And some awesome songs really help me dial in for those last few reps of 100-150 meters that suck once I’m gassed.

Just finished Chapter 5 and was not in the right mindset at one moment…💀

So I just finished chapter five for the first time and right after Joseph was controlled the first time(or maybe not again idk yet) Sebastian and Joseph climb this ladder to go up a couple floors. And all I could think about wasn’t about how scared I was or how good the atmosphere was. No, in that moment it was about the damn ladder. I was thinking how hilarious it is because logically(though of course it’s just a game) how the hell would a ladder some 60 feet or something tall be installed through the low ceiling, 90 degree ceiling corner hallways at the top and bottom of the ladder? I guess in segments would be the only way but even then it’d be a pain in the ass to power screw it in every 5 feet or so.😂 Just a hilarious thing to think about. Also lowkey, I’ve played a whopping 6 of the 10 mainline numbered RE games and I’m already kind of liking TEW more than all of them👀

Brought my Souls skills(the chort corpse despawned)

I was on my way to do the Return to Crookback Bog quest when i stumbled upon the contract for this guy. I’m only level 7 and the contract is recommending level 20 so I thought I’d only do enough to see the chort. But when it came time to fight I decided to just fight balls to the wall. Took me a long ass time cuz my sword’s damage is low for this contract but my time with Elden Ring taught me well🗿

Unintended positives of insulin

If there is anyone diabetic who lifts a lot and is prescribed insulin by a doctor, has there been any noticeable difference in your response to lifting which makes you respond noticeably better than other people you know? I know the IFBB Pros use it sometimes to get huge and I’m wondering if people who actually need it experience anything similar to a degree (granted it’d be much lower of a response of course since the pros blast and those who need insulin to function healthily aren’t getting the same dose)

What are your tendencies on pausing gameplay for a while?

I’ve played a bit over a dozen horror games now with a few of them 2-3 times total(I’m pretty young and have only been seriously playing horror games for about two years). And I’ve gone through titles ranging from Outlast to most of the resident evil main titles to my first horror game gem Cry of Fear. Of course I love the adrenaline and the heart pounding fear that comes with these games, but I’ve never found myself totally pausing a horror game out of fear. I see a ton of posts on YouTube and here about it. I’ve done it a few times because of boredom and then I’d go play some Cyberpunk or RDR2, but never ever because of the fear of the content. So I’m wondering what are your experiences with this thing and what are the usual thought processes you have when it happens?

For me only games that I’ve frozen on are Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Outlast, Dead Space Remake, Resident Evil 7, and Cry of Fear. Though the worst of the freezing ended up in just sitting in a corner for five minutes straight or backtracking to find more resources because I was scared of the enemies I knew were later on. Other than that I just get so into the game I want to press on even when I’m terrified😭
