Completely flat this AM 153.1 lbs. lowest body weight and leanest I’ve ever been. But not sure what my BF percentage is. Either way happy with my first prep this far being self coached. Excited to carb up, and already planning my approach for the off season and how I can do better next peak. Photos are from this morning and January 12th when I began cutting.

Back Built by Pullups

How many Pullups can you do?

Pullups are one of my favorite exercises for back development.

The average man cannot do 5 pullups let alone 1 rep.

If you can do 5 reps you are above the average man.

If you can do 10 reps of Pullups you are above the average gym goer.

20 reps and more you are elite at Pullups and can even add weight.

We as the human species climb.

Pullups represent climbing.

Should I be training every set to failure I’m a beginner at the gym

My current strategy when I’m at the gym is that I pick a weight where 8 reps is max and once i hit 12 in all sets I up the weight. But my question is as a beginner should I be taking all those sets to failure where I can’t do another rep with good form

Finally 140 lbs but now i am stuck

Have been underweight all my life and I finally decided to make a change but I hit a point where I am not seeing improvement. Last pic is where I started 125 lbs to now 140

I started counting my calories and noticed i wasn't eating enough for my height. I was only eating around 2,000 calories to 2,400 and sometimes skipping meals. I took it up to 3000 calories daily, strictly and in two months or so i went to 140 for the first time. I have to mention I was going to the gym for a year and I realized it is pointless if a

I am not eating. It only worked to make me stronger but never got big in size.

And despite going up to 140 lbs for the first time i still feel insecure and less attractive, the difference wasn't really that noticeable and I still dont fill my clothes.

I am thinking i will need to elevate my calories from 3k to 3,500 and see where that takes me and I see if the scale go up. But honestly how do I even do that? Eating 3k calories daily is already a challenge now going to 3,500 is too much of a struggle. The day isn't long enough to get all that food in. I am very busy during the day. Not forgetting how expensive is food.

I am a soccer player I stopped playing the amount of games I was. I went down to two games per week.

Any advice is helpful

Could going to the gym 6 times a week be affecting my performance?

So for the last few years I've been going to the gym 6 times a week, and I'm not really happy with the results, but I know my biggest problem is in the dieting department. Anyways in the summer there's weeks where I don't go to the gym because of holidays and such , and everytime I get back, those first workouts give me the greatest pumps and make me feel super bigger than I was before, now this could be phycological, but I was wondering if anyone has felt a benefit changing from 6 to 4 times a week. It also would free up some time for study's cause I got a lock in on that

Edit: I am currently on a cut: 125-150 g of chicken breast + 100-150g of pasta for lunch and dinner. 1 shake of water 1scoop of protein and creatine + 1 black coffee in the afternoon before gym. Also 1 fruit per meal, could be a banana, a peach etc. Now this ain't super strict, everytime I go hang out with my friends I don't follow this, so I'd say around 2-3 meals per week are not count properly. At the start I weighed 75Kg, currently around 69kg, lost a little bit of strength, which its probably because of my inconsistencies with the gym and diet during summer. Im 182cm tall. Been going to the gym for around 4-5 years. Split: Monday : chest and back Tuesday: arms and shoulders Wednesday: legs and abs Thursday: chest and triceps Friday : back and biceps Saturday: shoulders (Abs I hit once every 2 days) It's a weird split but since I like both Arnold and ppl this is what I came up with.

One bicep is way stronger than the other bicep when I was training biceps for the first time

When I was doing bicep exercises for the first time in the gym today I picked up the 6kg dumbbell and I did about 4 reps on both arms and my left will had about 4 reps left and right arm literally couldn’t do any more at all . How do I fix this or will it go away naturally as i feel embarrassed when I was doing them cus my right was shaking while my left was fine . How do i fix this ?

M 22, feel like I’ve hit a plateau

6’2, 180lb
I’ve been training for 4-5 years now and I feel like I’ve hit a plateau 2 years ago. I don’t really make a lot of progress. Any advice?

Laser eyes please. Went from 185 to 170, wanted to drop to 165 but people are telling me I looked better at 180-185. Thoughts?

6'2 currently at 170. Lifting seriously for 3 years, dieting seriously for 1 year (this is my first cut).

31M, 5 Years of Hard Work!

Timeframe:
October 19, 2020 to August 2026.

Background Information:
Prior to my mid 20s, I always liked going to the gym, but I never really followed a proper program or diet long enough to make much progress. I pretty much spun my wheels for years.

Around 27 or 28 I finally got a coach and started taking everything a lot more seriously. That was when I really started seeing progress.

At first I was running a traditional five day bodybuilding split with separate chest, arms, legs, back, etc. Looking back, it was probably more volume than I needed at that point and more suited for someone further along.

Eventually I transitioned toward a push/pull style of training with a much bigger emphasis on bringing my legs up. My training has changed a lot over the years as I learned what I actually respond to instead of just doing more for the sake of doing more.

I’m currently in the middle of a cut and running a four day Push, Pull, Legs, Arms split. Arms are one of the main things I’m trying to bring up right now, especially biceps and triceps.

PEDs & supplements:

Retatrutide: Currently around 2.5 mg per week

Current supplements:
Citrus bergamot
Fish oil
Multivitamin
Collagen
Protein powder

Planning to add glutamine back in and start using an intra workout/BCAA product again as training performance continues to come back up.

Routine/Regimen:
Currently training four days per week.
Monday: Push
Tuesday: Pull
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: Legs
Friday: Arms
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: Rest
The biggest focus right now is maintaining as much muscle and strength as possible while cutting, while still trying to bring up weaker areas.

Training is still based around progressive overload, but I’m a lot better now about managing fatigue instead of just throwing more exercises and sets at myself.

I’m also doing regular StairMaster work and keeping my daily activity and steps up throughout the cut. Been incorporating some ErgBike as well which has been pretty fun too.

Extra comments:

Currently also doing some additional knee work after dealing with some knee pain and finding out I had some weakness through my hips and glutes. I’ve been working in lateral band walks, clamshells, controlled bodyweight squats, and some mobility work. Nothing crazy, mostly just trying to strengthen everything around the knee and get it feeling solid again before I start pushing heavier leg work and conditioning harder.
