Rapid weight gain from lean bulk

I have just started a lean bulk roughly a week ago along with the gym . I weighed \~60.7kg . I calculated my maintenance calories and added about 150 calories to it . I’ve been eating these calories for about a week and my weight has increased by a kg if not more . How is this possible ? Have I gained just a bunch of fat . If anyone knows why please say below

Should I be training every set to failure I’m a beginner at the gym

My current strategy when I’m at the gym is that I pick a weight where 8 reps is max and once i hit 12 in all sets I up the weight. But my question is as a beginner should I be taking all those sets to failure where I can’t do another rep with good form

Help with my physique I think I’m skinny fat and idk whether to cut bulk or eat maintenance . 60.5kg and 5 10 , male

I have started the gym recently and I want to look more aesthetically pleasing and leaner . I look in the mirror and I look soft I have can barely see abs just the bottom 2 and I just look overall soft . My question is whether I should cut bulk or eat maintenance . I have asked ai and uploaded pictures and it says to eat at a slight surplus aka lean bulk and it says that on multiple ai . But at the same time people on youtube and stuff are saying eat maintenance to recomp however I don’t see the point because I’m already pretty much underweight . Can someone tell me what I should do . I can dm my physique
