Would anyone need or want a video editor? (free)

Hey there!

I'm trying to build a portfolio so I can hopefuly become an actual video editor, however my channel specializes in more raw type content--as such my videos are very little actually edited (just simple cuts/subtitles)

because of this, i'd be willing to edit some people's videos if they need that, for free.

i can do anything from brain rot attention grabber type stuff to cinematic short film type editing, and also general gaming styled videos and stuff--really however you want.

again, for completely free.

so yeah, if you'd be interested in allowing me to edit some of your videos, just dm me and we can talk about it!

it's crazy how like, snappy it is with every impact, like on each hit his body is in a completely new position

damn, rip.

What's the best way to calculate explosive power/affects based on kg of tnt?

Hey guys, I'm working on an explosion simulation type thing for my game, and I'd like to have it more realistic than "input blast radius, input force > apply force to objects in radius".

I've been looking around, and I haven't been able to find anything about how to do this, so this is probably the best place to ask, though I will continue looking after I post this.

Here's what I need help with:

- calculating the blast radius

- calculating the actual force an affected object within the blast radius should receive

im trying to keep it fairly simple but also believable, so i don't really need to simulate a whole bunch of other factors, i just need to know how large a blast radius should be if we detonate a bomb that's like, let's say 15 kg of tnt, and how much force to apply to it.

sorry if this doesn't make much sense im not the best at explaining things, but yeah thanks for any help!

Looking for people who might want to playtest my game in the near future

Hey there!

I'm working on a sandbox Garry's mod (style) game for my "engine". It's almost in a playable state--so I'm looking for 5-10 people who would be willing to test every now and then to make sure everything works with a lot of players.

If you'd wanna test this, just dm me on Discord, my account is radi.exists, if you'd like to join the Discord server you'll get the play tester role.

Current features (what matters):

- NPC system

- realistic, custom explosion system

- server infrastructure

- map loading

- destruction system with stress, particles, sounds, and breakable glass

- single player server creation + multiplayer singleplayer if that makes sense

- blood system

- fall damage system

- notification system

- custom console system

- missiles

- water ripples/particles

- custom chat system

- a lot more stuff behind the scenes

Planned features:

- actual modding, like custom maps, npcs, guns, game modes, props, and lighting effects

- game modes--so your server can run say, a zombie game mode, a survive the disaster type game mode, etc

- more props and built in maps

- mod manager

- functioning gun/fps/view model system

- custom ragdoll system (currently use one from the toolbox but it's edited)

- custom sounds (currently use gmod/hl2 sounds)

- custom gm_construct and gm_flatgrass maps (currently use ones from the toolbox)

- and more

If anyone wants to help develop too, whether that be scripting, animating, or building, that would be helpful as well!

i... fell through the floor..

jokes aside, this is insane. we found an untouched/atleast no graffiti abandoned school WITH power. some places looked straight out of the backrooms, like this one

untouched abandoned church with power

yes, this is abandoned. all the doors were open, homeless person sleeping right outside it, etc.

it does have power but i didnt include any photos of that here. this place was so fucking cool.

we didnt even mean to find it--we were just walking right after leaving an untouched abandoned school with power, saw this building, thought it looked kind abandoned--walked around it, and the door opened just like that.

awesome place.

why does it say im not yet eligable for public access yet both of the requirements are seemingly met?

does it just take time or something

i made this song in like a day, its draft 1 rn, so tomorow i might add some more stuff to it idk. but yeah it sounds pretty cool to me, i didnt even know i was capable of making stuff like this but ig i am!

u/According_Novel7521 — 4 months ago

fairly basic but fairly effective.

works for almost any type of injurt

gunshot, fall, explosion, crush, stab, etc.

for gunshots, blood actually comes from the wound which is cool. blood pool texture is also custom made by me (not the splatter)

the splatter system was inspired (in functionality) by scp containment breach's blood

any suggestions welcome, i will be adding drips soon
